i honestly did not see and coolant when i took it apart so maybe im wrong it would not be the first i thught it was some type of breather tube on the bottom cali sucks

one thing i did notice was a 40 degree drop in monifold temp when idling but that is with the bypass done i live in arizona it only gets to about 35 degrees at night for about 10 minutes lucky me

yeah i wanted to see the difference my filter on my injen cai was 65 degrees it got hotter towards the maf but right back down to about 70 at the throttle body then up to the hottest point i could find on the monifold was 150 to 160 then after the gasket about 110 to 115

i mean doing a coolant bypass from the throttler body to the engine to keep the throttler a little cooler. is that good on the long run?

what did you mean by that? i can only use honda coolant? what wrong with other coolant?

honda coolant is designed for there engines it has a special anti aluminun eating compound besides its just better and if you take it in and its not blue they will know

I believe that you are correct about using Honda specific coolant, but my coolant looks pretty green in my reserve/overflow tank. I've never seen blue coolant before.

You are correct, mine is blue as well.

Do you have an '07?
I'm not sure if maybe the changed it for '07, but my '07 Si has the blue coolant that is sold in the dealership.

hey guys, just did this task today with a friend, 3 hours total. the POS clamp that everyone were talking about, is it require to use adjustable clamp, because i put the old one back on, and it fits good. i did relocate the ground wire. Great DIY, helps a lot.
