at least 5 hours of labor. actually, maybe only three but I seriously doubt that. you can expect a 300 dollar bill, and it would be for a part that cost you, what, 50 bucks? NOT worth it.

where are you located?

bottom line, don't go to a shop or a dealer- you could spend your 350 on an X intake or something else and get way better power gains for your money. what's nice about the IMG is that it is fairly inexpensive and it is a great way for you to learn about your car (if you don't already know how to do something like this).

believe it or not, I actually installed my IMG without taking off the front end, and it wasn't that bad.

I'm not sure I'd want to do this again- if I helped someone else with it, I would DEFINITELY want to charge them something.

no, if they were located near me and I gave them a hand, I'd expect a beer or two and some lunch.

I would never charge someone simply for advice. that's exactly what a DIY is, and thankfully those are free. the satisfaction of having created a complete and functional DIY that will help someone else is payment enough.

I know the torque is 16ft/lbs but Do the intake manifold bolts have to be torqued in a sequence? If so what is that sequence?

I didn't see anything mentioned about any form of gasket sealer. I did the gasket just the other day being the car is garaged for winter. When I installed and torqued to spec (which I thought was 16 ft/lbs from what is on here. I started the car and let it run for a bit and coolant came out from the side the coolant ports are on. I tightened the bolts a little bit more and it stopped, but now I fear it could possibly be leaking into the manifold.

From what it looks like throughout the pages in this DIY. It's 16 ft/lbs. Not quite sure on the sequence though.

I'm not sure of the sequence, but here's the order in which I did it- I tightened the top leftermost down part of the way, then the bottom rightermost, top center, bottom center, et cetera. once they were mostly tight, I went back over all of them and gave them a little more.

I don't have any coolant leaks, and my car runs great, so I must have done something right.

That sequence is how I did mine so must be ok there. Probably my leak occurred from not going back over them a second time which I did after finding that leak. I'm just paranoid that somehow the pressure from the bolts isn't distributed as well to create a tight seal around the coolant passages. It's all in my head I'm sure. Did you add any gasket sealer for your installation?

Can I just ask if the RRB manifold has a bracket underneath it to support its weight?
and what you guys do with this when doing the DIY?

Approxiametly how much Coolant would I have to drain to do this Mod? Would I be able to get away with just draining say half the coolant in the car, or do I have to drain everything? Simple question for the guys that have already done this.

i would imagine you can get away with draining "some", but why take the chance. just drain it all and put it back when you're done.
