for those who have installed the IMG. Do I need to move the grounding wire to the valve cover? I would rather have it hidden behind the cover... any opinions?

Great write up. I watched dentrecords attack this project yesterday and the road blocks he ran into sometimes sucked.

That's the worst clamp ever. There is hardly any room whatsoever to get underneath the pinch the clamp and there is no clearance in our engine bays to get it from the side.

Thanks for the write up.. exactly what I ended up doing with that clamp. I ended up using a dremel to get the original off!!!

I wish I'd seen the recommendation (or at least thought of it) to remove that front bracket.. getting at a few of those bolts was a real challenge.. to say the least.

the left bolt coming out of the block had to be shaved by a thread or so simply to get the manifold off. Great write up man, you have rep.

like Q said, you should go ahead and move it, i never moved mine because i tested the continuity between the IM and the valve cover and i also tested the volts between the positive terminal and the IM and also the postivive terminal and the valve cover and they were the same. BUT hondata recomends it, so i would do it

Im going to be doing mine this week I hope and I still have some questions that i havent found by searching..

1. Do the IMG nuts and bolts have to be torqued? if so how many ft-lbs?
2. I am also doing the throttle body Spacer, I did the throttle body coolent bypass, when i take the throttle body off will coolant leak out or is it empty because I did the bypass?
3. Does the throttle body bolts need to be torqued also?

I will post pics also!

Oh one more thing to add to that...i cant edit my post for some reason..

but heres number 4.

4. Does this void my warrenty because I did it on my own or would my warrenty be valid if its installed by a certified honda mechanic?

It could (as any aftermarket part could). In reality: No

Cant edit:

I would post up a pic of the exploded view of the Intake Manifld and TB, but it's not allowed. My suggestion: Invest in a Helm Manual for your ride (if you plan to continue modding)---best money you'll ever spend!

Great Write Up man! Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the need to remove the front bracket, everything for me went just fine except for the whole TB maneuvering (it really needed encouragement).
