Thanks!! This thread helped me out a ton. It took me about 5 hours doing it in my garage with jackstands. It was 26 degrees of fun outside..I am still trying to get warm LOL.

Thinking about buying this header but have heard a lot of bad things on the build quality of these things. Can anybody help? Who hasn't had success with this?

Thanks for taking the time to make this DIY. It took the wife and I, a little over 3 hours to install with a lift. I have no mechanical background and the most complicated mods I have done to this point was Intake/TBS/catback...now I can add header. I have a couple of cuts on my hands and a giant knot on my head, other than that it was fun. Thanks again for taking the time to make it easier for everyone else. Hondata will be here Monday, I can't wait.

I am gonna hook this up to the stock catback for a while until I can buy an aftermarket. Will this ruin my cats or anything? Also, will it sound louder?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

The stock cat-back is from the catalytic converter...back. It consists of the midpipe and the muffler and the tip.

The DCRH replaces the shorty header and the stock cat. So it will not ruin your cat as it will replace it. As for the damage it may do to the stock exhaust, I've heard that it might, but have no threads to back that up with. And yes, it'll be louder.

I highly recommend this header personally. I've had a very nice time with it, cheap power for sure, I got mine used for $200 locally in mint condition. Injected my mounts just recently and it makes a huge difference! Header sounds good, deep but not overwhelming. You can hear the car from about a block away just idling.

I'm probably going to be upgrading to Vibrant full system w/ cat in a bit just to have a cat again for local emissions testing, but I gotta say you get plenty of go for your dollar with this header (look for mine on here for ~200 in the nearish future). You will need to make / buy a defouler though. Install is about 3 hours, I second that estimate.

Hardest part for me was probably just maneuvering one header out and the other in. Oh, and my MPG went up 1 after I installed it.

Yeah I remember those being a pita. Try to get some leverage on the cresent with done metal or a deep socket, just be careful not to damage them.

literally I've been trying to get the o2 sensors out of the cat for 3 hours. The car is on jackstands and I have pretty damn good leverage. Everything went smooth until the o2 sensors. Any other tips besides use a wrench? Any specific tools. Tried vie grips already, these bolts are locked!
