Anything with proper torque specs is worth archiving.

Put the right side in first at an angle. Then while pushing the right side in put the left in. It will take some maneuvering after that. If you get stuck try tilting it foward, left, right.

I'm both excited and depressed at the same time.. Excited because I just got my DC yesterday, but depressed because it's sitting in the garage and I don't have an exact date of when I'm going to get it installed..

I bought it from jzollars used and he sent the gasket that goes between the header and exhaust, but I need to know where to get a new gasket for the manifold.

It is recommended, but I don't think anyone has bought a new one. If you wanted its like ~$13 from the dealer.

i got my strup new and it didnt come with anything but stickers and a gasket (and bolts for the exhaust side). i would replace ur gasket, but using your stock bolts and nuts should be ok.

I think you are going to need to get some bolts and nuts as well as a gasket to go in between the header and exhaust. I can't remember exactly but I think the stock bolts are connected to the cat where it connects to the exhaust. You can re-use the exhaust manifold gasket.

I have a Vibrant RH w/ HFC thats going to be bolted on my Ti-c.
Was wondering what size for 3 bolt gasket do I need? (where the header flange meets the midpipe)
I think its 2.5" but I want to make sure of it.

I finally got my header installed today with a lot of help from GGEX and iiVtec. To those who got it done in less than three hours, I am very jealous of you..
The bolts and studs to the head as well as the bolts connecting the exhaust weren't any problem at all. But for some odd reason, the 14mm bolt connecting the stock header to the frame took FOREVER to get off. Once it was gone, the stock header came right out.
This guide and posts were very helpful, but having an extra set of hands or two makes all the difference.

this is a good diy. i just installed my dcrh today and followed this DIY. very helpful. it took me 5 hours on a lift bymyself. i took many break and had to wait for the engine to cool down. plus i spent over an hour messing with the dang exhuast manifold gasket, had it on backwards. two ppl would be nice becuase its hard trying to align everything up by yourself. oh yeah, i got a busted finger too, so far over 50 miles no cel

So from reading half of this thread, it's mostly directed towards installing the DCRH (obviously, lol). I am not the most mechanically inclined person, but do have access to a shop with air tools, lift, etc.

I am ordering Vibrant RH (catless) with the Vibrant Gen 2 exhaust along with FlashPro. I have no concerns with the exhaust, but here's what I would like to confirm:

1) Do I need to lower the sub-frame at all to get the Vibrant in?
2) Given that I will have FlashPro at the time of install, can't I disable the secondary O2 sensor?
2) If #2 is yes, then do I even need a defouler, or can I just put the secondary 02 in the rear bung and disable it and be all set?

Also, can someone summarize some tips for me?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks very much Zeuzeone!

Follow up question - regarding the bolts/nuts that attach the header to the engine...the studs are in the engine, correct? So all I am taking off is the nuts, and when they are off the header slides out and I should see studs coming out of the engine block? I've read some people have issues with the studs coming out, how do I prevent this from happening?

Are there any tips/tricks that you can share with me? Given that the only things I have ever done on a car before are intake, brakes, oil changes, calibers & once I replaced a Master Cylinder...do you think this is something I should try and tackle, or pay 250 bucks to get it done at P-Tuning?
