JDM Type R valve cover installed...

Ok, first i'm going to touch on a few things, since i searched and searched before i bought my valve cover....but never found an answer to:

1 - There are no issues with putting the JDM Type R Valve cover on, except...there are no holes for the wires and such to the right of the valve cover...this honestly is no issue...i used a zip tie and a little rubber tape to make sure it sat securely and didnt rub against the valve cover.

2 - The breather tube on the JDM valve cover is wider than stock, you cannot reuse the stock clamp, but the hose will fit over it.

3 - I had a pain in the ass time getting the longer screws out on the stock spark plug cover...i ended up intentionally breaking the stock spark plug cover to get the bolts out so i could then get the nuts off - if you replace the spark plug cover you'll know what i'm talking about! The pic below shows what screws i'm talking about!

Other than that...i bought a new valve cover gasket, didnt use any type of sealant, it's not neccessary. Take your time removing the plastic shroud around the windshield wipers...it's not difficult to remove, but if you force it off you can break things. Total time of installation ~1.5 hours.

Here are a few pics!

Oohhh, thanks fedex!

Mmmm, JDM newspaper...

Sorry for the bad lighting!

For anyone not sure how to remove the valve cover...it's pretty straight forward, thanks to BCJ fo the easy to follow write up!

The black dipstick reads inaccurately...so that's a big no for that. I think it looks to messy without the cover...so that's gonna stay too!
