This is a great looking mod for the R-18 engine, I just installed my this week. You need to order the 2 bolts with the cover. I painted my cover before installing it and it looks good. Will post pics tomorrow.

just paint it.

sharpie makes really good marker pens,
and ive used the silver on stuff before it looks good,

thats what im gonna do when i get mine ordered in about two weeks.

yeah but the "i-vtec" part was a nice raised-up sticker on the first one...

the second one just looks like crap IMHO

ORDERD THE ENGINE CAP (BLUE), AND YEAH THE SILVER DIPSTICK LOOKS BETTER, DOING MINE THIS WEEKEND..

The yellow looks great! And you just made up my mind for me.... I was thinnking of painting mine red with the Honda lettering in silver and now I have decided to do it after seeing yours. (And for the record, mine arrived today and the Honda letters were just black instead of silver) And by all means DO NOT REMOVE ANY BOLTS FROM THE ENGINE!!

I thought of letting it stay stock even though I am doing all red accents. But when I install the CAI, I will probably go polished instead of red. Here is another pic with natural lighting... it looks less glossy.
