Yes they have put the price way up as it was about $18.00 ca(before shipping) when I order mine a year ago, remember to get the two bolts beside it on the web page as the unit has four mounting points and you replace the two valve cover bolts so they are used for the two rubber mounts that come with the cover to snap into. So the cover has 4 mounting points not just the two pasltic srews that come with you need the bolts to install it corrrectly

Sion0x, I'm about to order one of this cover. My question is do I need to order the "Bolt Head Cover" (2) extra for installation? Or everything that I need will come with the "COVER ASSY. ENGINE WIRE HARNESS"? Thanks |

Step 3: I'm confused. I got the part in and I get the top two plastic screws in, but if I remove the 2 (10mm) bolts for step 3, then I can't use them with the new cover...Can you explain this a little further? I didn't order any other part but the engine cover, was I supposed to order some different bolts. Thanks for the help...

Yeah, when you're at Japanparts.com, the item right beneath the engine cover, for the 2 optional bolts, you were supposed to order those. The stock bolts do not fit with the new cover, as they are too short to fit properly. Technically, you could still use the engine cover WITHOUT these two bolts, but it might flap around a little bit. I made the mistake of not ordering the bolts, and now I have to wait for a friend of mine to order the cover with 2 sets of bolts.

I have to admit, the cover looks good. So I guess tomorrow I will be ordering bolts that cost $13.00 and shipping that also costs $13.00. In the end, I have no one to blame but myself for not researching it further.
You live, You learn, but I am still pi$$ed about it. |
