let myth busters deal with this myth! that would be fun to watch! anyways, NST pulleys looks promising. Ill have to keep up with this. I plan on NOT getting F/I. N/A all the way.

ok...i noticed the NST pulley is quite a bit smaller than the factory...will a new belt be needed with the pulleys?

Yes a smaller one.

Hopefully, today I will be doing a pre/post dyno with the NST pulley set.

I thouht we had a self tensioner pulley on the car.. since my car is only a week old, I really havent looked at the belt system... My experience with pulleys the tensioner pulley just took up the slack that came from smaller pulleys...

i haven't really looked at the belts either...it'd be nice if there wouldn't be the need for a belt replacement with this

I just want to see if pulleys really help on freeing some power. If is at least 3whp is enough for me.

I know that 2whp or doesn't sound great but adding 2 here, 3 there, 3 with other mode you got is 8whp and on N/A even 1whp is good.

Im trying to contact the guy who has the tools to do the job and I cant find him that means that the pre/post install dyno runs are going to be other day.

I was talking to Mike from NST and with the new idler pulley there would not be the need for a new belt!!! Talk about sweetness ...

I was on IM tonight and it looks like they are testing them now. I should be getting one with the set I ordered.

Those are not kits. Those items are the Crank Pulley and the Alternator Pulley listed separately. You need to order both for your car. If you do you will also receive their Idler Pulley which is under development as we speak. The only drawback is the wait. Some of us here have been waiting for 6-8 weeks so far and no product yet. But they are saying that the kits will be finished soon and should be available in stock by the middle to end of May.

Sure there is a 3 month old topic about that dyno test.
