I hope Im not resurrecting the dead here but I Put my intake in today. Did not have to cut the firewall. I don't see why people say this. Loosen the plastic by taking the one fastener out. Put your intake in and put the fastener back in. Cut it if you want, but you dont have to.

I would say the installation is a 5/10. There is nothing terribly mind boggling about the installation, it's more or less figuring out how to get the bumper off for the first time, the airbox, aligning the new intake, etc. It's just really time consuming for the first time.
