Ordered mine from PerformanceCenter.com (no, I don't work for them). Ordered the powder-coat black and a hydroshield on the 16th, it arrived today the 23rd. Total was $278.54 shipped for both items. I used their "price match" system to beat the price on Cardomain.com (currently $255.95). Performance Center gave the intake to me for 254.55. Best of all is the parts are drop-shipped straight from Injen. All in all, I think I did well, though I'd bet you might be able to get them cheaper elsewhere.

I hope Im not resurrecting the dead here but I Put my intake in today. Did not have to cut the firewall. I don't see why people say this. Loosen the plastic by taking the one fastener out. Put your intake in and put the fastener back in. Cut it if you want, but you dont have to.

You're right....but like I said in the first post, you don't have to but I did

Oh I know you did but even in the instructions that came with my intake it says to cut the firewall. So weird. By the way thanks for the DIY. It was my guide.

Yes. it says to cut a 5.5 in diameter half circle into the firewall. Now are they the instructions from injen? I don't know. But that's what came with it.

Hey when you guys did this install, did you have a lift? If not, did you use jackstands? Do I need to lift up the whole front end, or just the driver side front?

No lift is required whatsoever. Things are very easy and straight forward with the bumper off.

The only reason where a lift may help is getting to the clips that hold the bumper, otherwise, the intake pipe extends through the engine bay to the front of the fender liner, so it's not necessary.

How would you rate the difficulty on a scale from 1-10? Im nowhere close to a mechanic, but I have done some minor mods before.

I would say the installation is a 5/10. There is nothing terribly mind boggling about the installation, it's more or less figuring out how to get the bumper off for the first time, the airbox, aligning the new intake, etc. It's just really time consuming for the first time.
