Anyways another question. If I install this CAI, wont it kill the warranty?
I would have to hear it. It could be the injectors firing or the valves may need adjusted.

ok I went to the dealer and the guy said that the civics or I think he said the Si's are suposed tp sound like that, that they make alot of noise blah blah. Meanwhile ppl tell me somethings not right. Wtf? Is the dealer lying to me? And another thing I hear sort of a squeeky noise when I reverse, maybe I hear it more when I reverse really slow and take my time. I do sometimes or maybe once in a while I pop the vtec. Could that lead to my problem?

Does anybody object to installing an Injen CAI on a BRAND NEW '07 Si? I'll be picking up my Si in 2 weeks, once I return to America. I wasn't sure if it was a necessarily bad idea to throw engine mods on a brand new motor. Does MR technology help reduce such risks? That intake just sounds so nice... I can't resist...

I can relate with you on that. I put mine on myself as well with no prior knowledge and it took me 4 hours to do. But after all said and done.. no CEL.

question for everyone

the wire that leads to the positive terminal that was originally bolted down with a metal bracket to a brace near the battery box... it was removed with 2 10mm bolts

what did everyone do with that? right now it wont fit back to be bolted down.. i dont think it really matters but im curious what everyone else did... right now my plan is to just zip tie it to the mounting hole since it wont line up to be bolted in

another question... the flexible injen tubing that goes onto the throttle body... mine is kinda indented.... is this ok?

i got my AEM when the car was only 2 months old. i got the CAI and the 4-2-1 Catless exhaust system and installed them instantly, and i had bought the extended warranty and with no afterthought they where on in a matter of 3 hours, and i have not looked back there is 2300km on them and WOOO HOOO they are fun as heck... i love the sound and now all i need to do is sort out my headlights and install my intake gasket...

And no more eng. codes too...

How comes I didn't have to remove my front bumper to get my intake on?? Hmmmm...most I did was get on my back in the garage and turn my front wheels to lock left.

does it has to cut the fender just to fit the CAI in? because i think it is gonna let a lot of dust into the car, and winter is coming.
i have a sedan si

If you are that worried about it, then just get a shortram. Dust? You are not going to stop dust from getting into your engine bay no matter what you do. Just cut the fender just enough, and if you are that paranoid tape up the sides.
