i am going to be running boost soon, and i want to do everything before the installation of the turbo. could you install the walbro on the stock injectors? i would most likely have the turbo on in a couple weeks after. but want to have smaller installation on that day

tony if you run the stock injectors with the walbro its going to run rich, the ECU might be able to trim the fuel down but I haven't heard of anyone running it on a stocker. I recommend waiting with the FP install till you install the turbo and before the tune. It takes less then a hour and is a simple procedure.

you should be fine running a walbro fuel pump w/o forced induction as it does not raise fuel pressure

the Walbro WILL raise fuel pressure on a stock motor. Do not listen to what you have been told. I added the walbro and crushed my FPR with the CT-E tool that comes with the SC and my fuel pressure is at about 95psi now. Way too high. Stock pressure should be around 50-60psi. The FPR crush with a stock fuel pump only raises the pressure by 10psi. With the walbro it went up over 30psi. So don't tell me that the walbro alone will not raise pressure because it will.

ask someone who added the walbro and did NOT crush their fuel pressure regulator

if u leave your regulator alone you will be fine with the aftermarket fuel pump.. it does not raise your fuel pressure

I heard something about having to run a 'closed loop' mod when you install the Walbro FP. Heard anything like that?

I think you will be fine, especially if you are just commuting until you get the turbo.

just want to install the little things, so the turbo day would not be held up with little things...like i am hooking up the turbo timer, running wires for the boost controller. and i want to hook up the fuel pump too

Tony don't listen to those guys saying it will be fine, it won't be fine. That Walbro is intended for a fuel system with a return line, in which case it won't raise the pressure. We don't have one so its going to raise our fuel pressure. It can wait till you go boost.

You got to be careful when you ask questions, lots of bad info is put out here.
