Yeah I might. I need to figure out why my gas gauge is stuck. I'm thinking it's my gauge sender.

Something must have happened to your sender. My gauge works good.

You need to remove the cap, and then the assembly will come right out

I'm most likely gonna do this tomorrow

you probably trimmed the rubber more, or you used man hands to pop the bottom cover into place.

man hands.

i barely trimmed my rubber at all. i think that may be why i still cant' hear it whine. good insulation.

only time i hear the walbro is when i prime it.

i trimed the rubber a little bit and i didnt use the needle nose pliers. i cant stand the noise. walbro is making a lot of noise. its like your leave the microphone face infront of the amplifier. and i just got random all cylinders misfiring. i guess its the tune. btw after i installed the walbro fuel pump i feel lighter on the foot when i press down the gas pedal

A little grease on the threads helps a lot.

More than that it's the rubber piece, it won't go in the way it's supposed to, and then it doesn't let me screw the cap

Yup, that's how I did it.

Nick, maybe you should add that to the first post. Separate the rubber from the assembly, then the whole thing will go in very smooth. I also added some grease to the threads, made the whole tightening process easier.

From what I've seen, AFR's didn't change, or at least they are in the range. The pump is loud!

Anything I should keep an eye on to make sure it's installed properly? Or what things to look for?

I just did the install on my car this morning. I only notice to sound level of this thing when just turning the key and hearing the initial prime. Other than that I have to listen specifically for the whine which is tough even. Must be it's just a kind of tone certain ears are sensitive to.

Then take it out and quit whining about it! It's only at start up, it's a simple procedure, nick covered pretty everything.

as long as you used a stock injector oring you should be trouble free for a very long time. I'm running 70psi all the time and ethanol and i'm not having any pump issues at all. Its definitely cheap insurance.
