yeah it matters cause i have a cheap one and it stalls my automatic alot. if u get a injen one there will be a vane in it that directs the air which prevents to much air to the sensor

just a note to the creator of this thread. i used ur instructions for the installation of my intake and let me tell u, U were a big help with this. u just might want to know that u dont have to take ur bumper off.. i found it very easy if u just remove the tray that the battery sits on. there are 3 or 4 bolts and once you get that off, u can see ur way down. that is wat i did and it was a real good time saver.

buy injen...i dont think fujita has the same MAF section as the injen which is very important unless you are going to have flashpro

i was orginally going to buy CAI, but now i wanna get a sri but i was wondering if i leave the air resonater box in and install the sri. would the air resonator act like a cai? by bringing in the cold air?

if you really want to be revolutionary and do the r18 community a favor...

buy a volant intake...the filter is located where a short ram is but the whole intake is made of some plastic material (so no heatsoak) and the filter is covered with a pipe that goes down to where a CAI gets air....

so the way i look at it...no heatsoak from aluminum intakes, no worry about hydrolock because the filter is high in the engine and no exposed, cool (possibly ram air if you hook up more piping) air that SRIs dont get

i might get a volant intake but flashpro is too tempting

no it shudn't affect anything other than just the hp and you won't be required to break anything unless you mess up =P but its a fairly simple mod, just don't cut where the instructions tell you too, that will probably screw you over w/ the dealer. and just keep your stock parts to put back on later...

yea most definitly.

Did anyone not cut the wheel well, and if you did, did you have any problems with it rubbing against another pipe and wearing out?

I didn't cut it at first, and I was at a stop light and wondered where the rattling was coming from. Checked the charge pipe and it had a good 1/8in missing. I just ground down the rail that rubs it. Thought it fixed the problem but ended up having to cut the fender well.

I've got a manually. It's doesn't really run lean for me, at least I've never had the AFR checked. It may be running a little lean.

I'm in the middle installing my injen cai on my k20, and i was following the directions from injen, and when i disconnected the hose from the throttle body coolant inlet port fluid began to leak. Is this normal, and what fluid is it?

Thats normal. Its coolant, you need to replace the line, and possibly top off your tank.
