ocho means 8 in spanish. It's just how some people welcome you to 8thcivic.

This was an awesome DIY! +1 rep I was wondering if that harness was a single wire, but I couldn't tell from previous DIY's I'd seen. Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't able to listen to the sound clip either though, I also got "Forbidden" message. Can I find the clip somewhere else?

Also, Chase, do you think a 15 A fuse is too much? I thought the fuse in the fuse block was that size, so wouldn't putting the same size (or larger) fuse defeat the purpose?

Ok, now I got it... I had to download it first though.

Man this sounds good! I'd listened to a couple clips of the Hella Supertones on YouTube and this sounds better to me... The Hellas sound a little more high pitched don't they? That's not what I expected though because this horn says it's low is 530Hz and it's high is 680 Hz (vs. 300/500 Hz on the Hella's)

Does anybody have the specs on this set, specifically the power draw?

thats a pretty cool DIY write up

what I wanna know is if any of the "TYPE 2 IN'S" are any of the one's you took off that are on the grille. I wanna take off the "SI" badge and I don't know which TYPE 2 pins I'm pulling out and don't wanna break any. I also wanna know how YOU got YOUR TYPE 1, 2 and 2 "in" pins off. what did you use to take them off.

you can use a flat head screw driver and pry them off slowly. The SI badge is only held on by 2 philips head screws to the grille. It is actually quite easy to take off the grille, especially if you follow this DIY

My mistake, I thought for some reason it was 20A, try the 10A or if you want to be cautious use the 7.5A

Did I mention that it says "MADE IN ITALY" on it? Really! It does! Perhaps it's the same company who makes horns for Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc...

Doesn't the stock horn already have a fuse for it? It should. All other cars I've owned in the past did (I haven't had time to check my manual or fuse box to confirm).

I used a regular flathead screwdriver for those. They came out quite easily for me since the front bumper/fascia is soft, flexible plastic.

Annnnnnnd maybe because it was 102F outside when I did it. Heh.

i was going to put an Accord horn on it, at least it won't sound as wimpy. And you can get them for dirt cheap in a junk yard.
