This is a real good idea. I've heard of cases where peoples car get robbed at a baseball game or something and the crooks steal the garage door remotes and turn on the navigation of their car to find out where they live, go to their house and rob it all clean, all while taking their time b/c they know when the game ends. x_x
This would prevent the .0000001% chance of that happening to you. =D

Remember, I've saved the hassle of buying a button, cutting the extra plastic out, making the hole, soldering the wires and crimping the connectors! That's less labor for you!

In my old car, I just took a remote, soldered the button contacts to always be on and wired the 12v battery prongs to the high beam wiring on the right headlight. I dubbed it the "Mikochu Über VIP High Beam Gate Remote." Flash the high beams, garage opens...instant gratification.
