BTW according to my service manual, the 08 SI's are the only one with 2 horns
Are you sure? Well, I mean you can tell just by honking your horn. Btw, those pix at the begnning of this thread made me wonder. I never had to take off my bumper to to replace the horn although I did jack the car a little and worked from under. I got my dual horns from the Philippines where my previous car there had a Type-R brand in it. The one I have now are Magnums. Dual horns rock!

Yeah i'm sure lol.

The service manual says to take the bumper off to replace the horn. You did it without taking the bumper off on the civic?

Here is the horn I installed in my old Subaru. I just ordered another one for my new SI so I will post pics and a sound clip when I get it installed.
Oh ya when I wired mine up it came with a relay so I ran power from the battery to the relay, relay to compressor, relay to ground I believe and then relay to horn button. I then tapped the power wire from the battery to the relay for the horn button and it worked perfectly.

I installed 2 freeway blasters. When i make it beep by locking the doors, i think the stock horn is louder than both the new horns. The stock horn used to hurt my hears from loudness when i walked in front of the car and locked the doors. These new horns dont hurt. When i press on the horn button, i think the new horns are louder...... i cant really tell

All i know is that the tone is different.

I'm guessing that most if not all of the oem Honda horns will be plug and play. I installed the S2000 (AP2) horns. Sounds much better. I just needed to adjust the bracket on the horns to make sure the horns were pointing down.

A friend just bought an '08 Accord V6. The horn on it is pretty loud too.

I bought a low tone horn from Pep boys for $20 and spliced it onto the existing horn line like you did... Then I mounted it right beside the original horn, so I got the low tone from the new horn, and the high tone from the original. Sounds much better.

Thanks for the help

I did the same, got the fiamm F low tone from advanced auto parts, $12 and just spliced it next to the original, sounds cool, and way louder. I have pics if anyone is interested. This is a very easy install, once you get the bumper off :P.

I replaced the two horns on my SI today with a High/Low setup from Autozone and they sound Awesome!!!

Installation took less than 1 hour.

ButchMX!
Just installed the Hella Supertones. Needed a little bracket fabrication to fit those two big horns. It's loud! Alarm chirp sounds kinda funny though.

i'll consider this as a second horn, i can't imagine if this is the only horn you have and you accidentally let someone use your car for a behind the wheel exam at the DMV.
