just confirmed that there is no accessory wire where the lights are, only one that had 12v was the two wire connector (dark green is positive) used a voltmeter to check. I dont know if i should throw a wire up there from the fuse box, any recommendations? i dont think the radar would draw that much anyways to kill the battery if i left it over night but I will be checking (just to make sure and cover forgetfulness)

Just did the install on an 06 EX Sedan. It was the purple wire. Worked great! thanks
I really didn't want to go the route of having to wire it down the A pillar to the fuse box. I have it wired to my map light in my BMW and was hoping I could do the same in this car. Lots of room to hide the wires up there too

Why not, instead of naming the color of the wire (which, it sounds like is different between years) someone say what pin number in the harness the wire is connected to? That way, as long as everyone has the same harness it doesn't matter what color the wire is...
With that said, I don't wanna read through the whole thread so is the wire that you want to tap into green on the 07 Coupes? |

Nevermind...I just went with the flow and my gut feeling and was right lol. I have an 07 EX Coupe and it was the big dark green wire. When you first remove the light enclosure the harness is laying down and wires point to the front. The 4th one from the left (if you are looking at it how you took it out) on the top row is the one you want to connect it to. Provided the harnesses are the same. The wire is a little bigger than the rest of them.

Well, I read all the pages on here about how to wire my Belltronics Sti... I'm still confused. Green wire, pink wire, dome light wire, etc.... So I thought I'd just give it a go on my own. The only thing I'm clear on is that the green one won't work at all and the pink one works as long as the dome light is off and that's including after you shut off the car and the light goes out.
So... Do any of the wires up there in the dome light area act as a 12V acc? I have an '08 Si. Thanks again in advance. |

I'm having the same prob as you tried a couple and ran into the same situation what i think I'm going to end up doing is just buying a mini fuse tap and taping into one of the fuses in the interior fuse box

Has anyone ever blown a fuse using a volt meter? Just by testing the wires above the map lights, I blew 3 fuses! There was no acc power to be found in my car up there. I did find one wire that was 12v constant, but after the fuse poping thing, I thought it would be more wise to go down to the fuse box. All wired in now and the STi is working great! :o)

It blew a fuse under the hood called "back up", an acc fuse under the dash, and another 5V fuse under the dash as well. Before we fixed the fuses, the sunroof had stopped working, no int lights at all, radio didn't work, headlights would only come on with the key turned on as well as the door chime would only come on after the key was turned!!
Glad we got it figured out now! After taping into the fuses below and running the wires from there... All is good and working great!

no suction cups/perfect aim
Suction cups well...suck. Do a google search on V1 brackets if you like what you see. This bracket allows proper air for your unit. Our mirror shaft dia. is .750. Wire is run down to fuse block after slightly lowering headliner and removing and replacing A pillar. V1 operates on key.

Just thought I would add my first mod to my GGM Si Sedan. Suction cups didn't work too well and I found this for my SpecV last year. Works on the Civic too!
After seeing Taildragger's pic, I like that mounting for the remote mute. ![]() BTW, I have some better pigtails that I used to tap the fusebox. I will snap a pic tomorrow. |

So are we confirming that wiring into the dome light/sunroof harness is not an option to have switched power in a 2008 Si sedan? I also found that there were only three hot pins.
Does anyone have some pictures of how I'd get the headliner pulled down enough to tuck the wire as well as getting it under the A-pillar cover and the rest of the way to the fuse box if I end up doing it that way? |

I've already ran my V1 cable up to the rearview and don't want to tap into the sunroof (as I've always done) since I have an '08 sedan and there seems to be confusion about doing such.
Having never tapped into the fuse box, is this "add a fuse" accessory all I need to get power from the #8 tap that everyone seems to use? I'll ground the V1 kit to the bolt on the right side of course. thanks so much, Matt '08 NBP Si Sedan
