Hey i just did this myself and I was wondering how u popped the tweeter out? i was paranoid of breaking it so my wire is still visible by the pillar. What did u use to pop it up and get it to lay flush to hide the wire? Your installation is clean!

Thanks! Yeah if you look at the tweeter on the front right you can see a small indentation under the lip of the plastic trim. I just took a small flat head and popped it up. I never had to put too much pressure that I thought I'd damage the plastic. I can post a picture later.

soo umm. i just bought an x50 passport.. and i dont know what color wire im supposed to attach to.. can anyone help?

so basically i have no idea what im doing.. lol.. i have all the wires together.. so i have a ground (round metal one with a hole in the middle) and the wire with the clear rubber thing over it.. what the hell do i do? i cannot understand any of this.. sorry im a newb. haha

You were sent one with a hardwire kit, if you have no idea what you are doing id sugges tto bring it to someone who does electric.

That ring is called a ground, it needs to be attached to a screw/bolt that connects to the car chassis.

The other wire will be the power probably red, you can add this to your fuse box by going to an auto store and buying a $5 dollar thing thats called add a fuse or something like that. You can also tap this wire into other things but that may void warranty.

Has anyone done this on an 08 Si coupe?

I just put a voltage meter to every wire up there, and there are 2 wires that get power, but its not linked to the accessory function, meaning they always stay on. My brother's 06 EX has a switched wire, so it gets 12v only when the car is on.

Anyone else install on an 08 si coupe?

Yeah, I just checked again... I'm not finding any wire that works with the ignition, which means radar on 24/7. Annoying.

The top half of fuse 22, which is not used, is a ACC switched 12v power.

I added a switch so that I can turn it off at any time.

There are none. Only 3 hot lines. No ACC lines in the map light harnesses. (at least in the 08 Si coupe) For the time being, I just have mine wired to a 12v line that stays on. It shouldn't be a problem unless I go on vacation for a month and leave the radar on.
