Forgive me for hijacking this thread but here is a thought (correct me if I am way off base).... but I know that Honda uses the same parts on the Civics and the Accords and the Acuras, etc. My girlfriend has a 2008 Honda Accord and it has a lighted ring around the keyhole. Do you suppose you could purchase one for an Accord and it would fit the Civic? Just a thought because I would really like one too and I was looking at her's tonight.

the OP said that USDM wiring is the different but in the other thread where the guy made a home made ring he said that there are two wires that come fromthe Green Clip in the steering column..

so i dunno... i will try the OP's diagram to see.. maybe there are wires but the colours are different for the wires..

tried installing it.. i have an 08 Si.. i broke the ring off the LED ring.. i gotta glue it back together.. ; <

the igntion green plug by the key hole doesn;t have the two wires the OP has.. there are two empty holes instead of wires..

i checked the fuse the wires will reach the fuse box but there are SOO many wires down there that i cannot get to the pink and blue wires.. you have to unwrap the tape around them...

i will do it another day

and those damn screws under the steering wheel column are a PAIN IN THE ASS to get back in!!
