I like using my fogs with my parking lights, but I don't want to wire it to the parking lights because I hate it when I the foglights flashes with the parking lights when you arm/disarm the alarm. I might have to use a different switch in a different location (maybe hidden).

I understood what you said, but that would only allow me to use the foglights only with the headlights. And I said that I like using my foglights with the parking lights, but don't want it to flash with the arming/disarming of the alarm.

hmm in that case then you would have to move the switch, try between the shifter and the cup holders

what kind of custom fab where you thinking of???, the only other place i can think to put the mirror switch is either the little cubby infront of the cup holder, or on the center cousol just under the arm rest. that or cut holes in the dash, right beside the fog light switch...

Well I finally got my installed last Friday. I had to make my own harness by soldering wires to the leads on the switch.

The only thing I did differently was add a SPST switch to the ignition wire just incase the relay or the switch fails. That way I could still use the key to start the car too.

I think rather than cutting the Ign off for use with the key, why not leave it in tact. The start button still functions but just in case it fails the key will work as well. The switch idea is good too. Then some days you get lazy and don't want to push the button. No one says you absolutely HAVE to start it with the button.

Just my .02

just to clarify, is the brown harness under the steering wheel or the dash near the fuse box? can't quite tell by the pictures. going to go home and do this tonight.

and should i be using 1, 2, or 3 different grounding locations? can the 2 off the switch be combined into one wire and then grounded? or 2 separate wires to the same ground....or 2 wires to 2 different grounding locations?

same with the positives on the button, can those wires be connected and then one wire extended to the power?
