I just ordered mine today.
I wonder if it messes up the warranty... anyone know? I have an appointment Friday for a new seat belt buckle (turns out I got a factory defected one that caused my SRS light to stay on). I can ask then but for the mean while anyone know?

BTW to the OT and to Steve - thanks for the DIY insight.

$80 for the whole CTR PSB including the bezel and about $45 for the hazard switch. $100 labor. i think it's worth it. are they going to warranty the install?

The switch and bezel are like $40 from A&J Racing. I just got mine yesterday.

You don't need to use a relay because there is already a relay in the circuit.
Installed mine today. Works great. Also put in a toggle switch to turn the key off and on in case the switch fails.

my electrician installed a relay. you need one just like what both CTR PSB DIY thread asked for. key still works even without pushing the PSB just in case something happens with it.

If you wire like the diagram you are installing a 2nd relay to do the same function as the existing one. I went to school at the Acura/Honda apprenticship program in Toronto so I have a bit of knowledge with cars. Also I work in the Honda engine plant in Alliston, ON and discussed this with several licensed technicians that work in our repair dept. They all came to the same concensus Honda would not design a vehicle that would allow that much current to go to the Key switch. So installing a 2nd relay is redundant and consuming power.
Also I wired in a toggle switch to be able to turn the key on and off in case my switch fails.

It's also redundant to have a toggle switch to be able to turn the key.

Touche...lol. Yes it is indeed. I wanted my key to be disabled but wanted a backup if the switch ever failed. So really it does have a function. Unlike the relay who's job is being done by the factory relay. To each his own.

I have a coupe too and don't like the idea of drilling a hole in my dash. What if this JDM Honda Jazz Button fit into the Blank VSN Off plug?? Then you may be able to put the engine start button into the original hazard button hole? Just an idea...

Here's a link to the Fit's hazard button with a picture below:

You mean the power button will fit in power outlet like in the picture below? Guess that's okay.

Who cares what it's called? Tap it into the yellow and white wire.
