Finally Bought My First Car

Well, I have wanted to purchase a new vehicle for over a year now and finally ended up with a new Civic EX Coupe manual in Rallye Red. I'm not sure how good of a deal I got but I got them down to $19,450 OTD for the car.

I haven't actually gotten the car yet but they have my deposit and are bringing the car over from another dealership on Friday or Saturday. I'm thinking about offering them $20,275 OTD if they throw in the 72mo/120k mi. warranty.

I'll be sure to post a few picks when I finally get the car!

Congrats, and have fun! I test drove a Rally Red 2008 Civic Coupe EX, but they didn't have that color in the new arrivals (non-test driven cars). I ended up getting a NBP instead.

I hope that price is including taxes. (considering an EX coupe is 22,800.00 before taxes in Canada)

That is the OTD price including everything. I went to 3 different dealers and none would move from that price, the 3rd dealer I went to just simply told me they couldn't do it when I told the them what I had been offered already...

Anyway it was like $17400 I think + dest (6xx) + TTL

Oh, as for the asking price prior to that it was around $19500 (before TTL) plus some paint protection stuff and mud guards and all kind of garbage that pushed it over 20k that I just said I wasn't willing to pay for.

I do like the Si too but I simply can't afford it. I wouldn't be able to make the payments all year round because while I'm in school I barely work at all and I don't want the hassle while I'm taking 18cr. Then there is gas... but don't fret I have a bike if I ever get the need for speed.

always smart to get a car that hasn't been test driven to death. I had a deposit on mine for 2 months. got it day it was delivered, only built like a week before i bought it.

Congrads, buying your first new car is a freaking awesome experience. I picked up my first new car last month, my lovely Civic and it was just awesome. Welcome to the 8th!
