What price should I pay for 2008 Civic Si???
Hi,
I was wondering what is the lowest price people have been paying for the 2008 Civic Si with Navi. Can people tell me what they have got it for? I got a quote today for a 2008 Civic Si w/ Navi for 21,300. And for the 2008 Si w/o Navi is 19,600. Should I bargain somemore? Please, if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks. ![]() |

Well according to this: 2008 Honda Civic Pricing and Information the MSRP for a 2008 civic Si with navi is $22,860. Looks like you're getting a good price.

These prices are below the actual invoice of the car. I would be wary of these dealers undercutting others and trying to bump you with a ton of acces. when you get in. If that is a price with a VIN that they will offer, that is great. Just doubt it on this type of car. I work for a honda dealer, so I see this all the time.

yeah, watch for 'dealer packages' that they'll try to push on you to jack the price up... and if they absolutely won't take the packages off, make sure they're not trying to charge 2 or 3 times what they should for the actual accessories...
i got my 08 si w/ nav a little over a month ago, and the price was 20,400 + accessories... when i made them detail the accessory charges, they were trying to get 150 for wheel locks plus 120 for installation.... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. i ended up with all the accessories, but i only paid fair value for them, and i made them eat the bs 'installation'... seriously, wheel locks? cargo mat? what installation? you've got a good price for the car, just beware of the 'stealership' price gougers... |

I've seen numerous places offer lower quote prices to get you in their door, and then just "work" on the financing percentage rates at the end. They can easily make up the difference in price when users finance the car directly from their dealership. Compare someone paying 0.9% vs someone paying 9% interest over 5yrs (or longer?)

They don't have to honor any quote given. It is just on the integrity of the dealership and more importantly the managers that are working. There are ways to make money on customers, but the most common is stealing a trade in. NEVER trade your car in unless you have to. ie negative equity you cant cover. They can make money on financing, but not as much as you think. Those dollars go mostly to the banks. They can make money on the extended warranties, but you can negotiate those and some are really helpful, like GAP insurance.
