The R18 is fast enough to keep up with traffic. I don't know why SI owners think it's the fastest ish in the world. According to most magazines 0-60 is only an average of ONE SECOND FASTER!!

Its fast enough in the corners and fast enough in a straight line for me, I have a heavy right foot.

Lol it is slower. Once I tried passing my dad in our Honda Odyssey and it smoked me (in my older LX). Right then and there I knew the R18 was too painfully slow for me. What really got me was having one of the newest cars at my school, yet it was also slower than 95% of them.

For one, ignore the guy you quoted. Only an idiot thinks the SI is legendary.

Secondly, don't let mags fool you. I don't care if the SI is .2 seconds faster 0-60, it's much, MUCH more fun to drive. That's why people like the SI for the most part.

The only thing I dislike about my R18 is the lack of aftermarket performance parts.

I love my r18. It is plenty for me after driving my 98 d16 for 2.5yrs. I know it isnt a beast, but its quick, handles well, and rides damn good. I love it.

I also want a Si, but will NOT drive one until i am ready to buy it b/c i'm scared I wont like my r18 as much then as i do now.

rofl quoted for emphasis. he also forgot the brakes are weaker on the r18 and that the gears are more economical, handling will be an issue if you cant get the power to get you round those turns..

okay buddy from ONLY 0-60 and pulling away a second faster thats already alot.. lol.

if your going to say 1 second isnt alot then evo's, sti's, 350z's arnt much faster then SI's on the 1/4 since their "only" ~1 second faster.

I think the MUCH more fun comes from driving a manual than driving your old AUTO LX. not that the Si is so much more fun to drive.. and yea the auto R18 are suppose to be slow but i have never been inside one, so i can't say much about them..

Again, thats why you'd have to drive an Si to see what i'm truely saying. I never said I was knocking the R18's. I would LOVE to own one!. I know that the Si isn't that much more faster than the R18. But it is an Si. No it's not the fastest car around but you have to drive one to find and feel the fun factor of it. I'm SURE the R18 is fun aswell. I had a 7thgen Ex (EM2) and I loved that car!. at 127Hp and whatever torque, I had lots of fun in that car and it was great on gas. But when I hit Vtec in my Si, It's game over.

When I pay off my Si and it's mine to do whatever I want with, I'll get a Supercharger in it and THEN, it'll be fast!.
