stopped by the acura dealership while getting the oil changed on the civic today,
Couple things i noticed about the new TSX: 1. Looks better in person than in pictures. 2. The interior is very nice, high quality Things I didnt like: 1. The new TSX is like an is250, back seats are pretty much unusable for humans. 2. Three tsx's on the lot: all stickered at $37k+ I dont really understand who is going to buy this car for 37k, 28k is pushing it, 37k is outrageous... that is 3 series, c class, a4, cts, tl-s, g35, is350 territory. |

ive seen the new TSX, it doesnt look bad at all, but I do prefer the look of the older one. . . im on AZ and check on the TSX board from time to time and apparantly this new one rides and feels better, but I have yet to try it, and seeing as how I enjoyed the last one I think I might atleast give this one a shot

In my opinion, Acura cut corners with the new TSX just to get something out to compete with the price of the Lexus and BMW cars of the same size. What they didn't spend enough time on was performance to back up the price. I think they are hoping people will see the gas mileage and go for the Acura over the BMW or Lexus, but are people really that stupid? Personally I think the new TSX looks like garbage, it doesnt have the classy look of the older one, looks like a toy. The tall fender lines ruin the elegance an Acura should portray, just looks bulky. The interior is very nice though.
Overall I think the car is gross....its heavier, has less HP and costs an absurd amount of money for an Acura. I can only hope Acura will sell few of them to realize their mistake, if people keep paying crazy amounts for these cars they will keep making them half assed. |

They did not design it or market it for performance. All Honda cars, and any product for that matter, has to have a target audience to be successful. Honda has never fully marketed a car for having the best performance, they're known for having fun to drive cars that are good on gas. Acura, however, is trying to hit on this technology thing. And I will admit, it does have a lot of bells and whistles, and while you and I wouldn't pay for it, people that care little about the performance of a car would jump right on it, just for the fact that it's a "nice car", and you don't have to pay for a $50,000 car with performance they didn't want to get the features they wanted. I think Acura has been successful for what it's trying to accomplish. The commercials are brilliant.
Did I mention I kinda like it? Lol. I don't think I'd buy one though unless someone makes a supercharger soon. Last edited by bLaCkAnGeL07; 06-07-2008 at 11:18 AM. |

I don't see it as a big improvement from the last one but it does have a nice interior.
