Maybe he was talking about the entire line of Skyline GT-Rs? That's a fairly weird assumption though...even if it is mostly truthful. Back in the 90's Japanese cars were just rated at 280hp by manufacturer, in order to stop them from going over a certain tax level or something like that, IIRC.

im surprised they dont label the R32, 33, and 34 as super cars. a friend of mine is selling his 400whp evo mr and buying one of these when it comes out.

it is the first japanese supercar. The r33/34 were fairly common cars in japan and they were priced right(awesome cars though i would love to have one). The NSX didnt have the power to be a super car.

I didnt know it was only a V6. I like it more now

GTR is not a supercar.... it is a GT car...

Ferrari Enzo = supercar
Lambo Murci = supercar
Pagani Zonda = supercar

Nissan really tooled it up this time. "The car is best the way it is". I know it is a great piece of engineering but there is almost always room to improve. One may want to change the wheels for something lighter smaller or just a different style...The car is really heavy...how about cf hood and trunk....And the real reason I am starting to hate new cars is the way the make the ECU so you can't do a damn thing to the car. Advancing technology in the ECU is good I guess to be able to fine tune more things if you know what you are doing but having codes and stuff so aftermarket exhaust intake or w/e can't be used is just plain lame. I know they don't want it to get riced out but some doosh will do it anyway, it's only a matter of time.

The biggest downside IMO is that it doesn't come with a traditional manual tranny, all these new flappy paddle gearboxes are technological wonders but takes the fun out of driving IMO. And I'm sure all the major Japanese tuners are trying their best at cracking the new GTR and making them even faster, so it's not technically "un-alterable".
