any advice on buying si?

hey guys,
i live in long island new york in search of a si to buy. anyway, i was wondering if you guys have any advice on buying as well as dealing with piece of sh@t salesmen?
from reading this site and its members, i have learned several things.

1. fight for the msrp.
2. watch out for the bullshit they pull when you put a deposit down.. making you wait for a car that isnt there.
3. ask and demand for the vin number and build date.
4. have everything in writing, sale price, vin number, build date, etc.
5. i should never go by the "word" of the salesman.
6. watch out for the padding they do when they accessorize the si.
7. buying over the internet is a great option.

do you guys have other advices? or better yet, what dealership to go to?
what do you guys think about Bay Ridge Honda? do you guys have info on websites to buy from? thanks for any responce.

Ask Type-X (Mike) over at clubsi.com (in the '06 Si forum). He has a good handle on the dealers in the NY/NJ area and has helped out a number of folks in getting their Si from a reputable dealer with no foolishness.

For right now do not pay 1 red cent over MSRP. Most of the suckers that will/have paid more than MSRP should be through and they should be coming to their senses over the rest of the summer. By the time the '07s are here I don't think we will see this crap continue unless you are after the 4 door version

If people would have just refused to pay over MSRP we wouldn't have this problem in the first place.

I don't know how it is up there, but down here it is still demand outstripping supply. Unless you order, you are hard pressed to find a dealer willing to give you an Si they may have at MSRP.
