You have the right to fight the ticket. They can't just add more penalties or give you more charges just because you're defending yourself, guilty or not guilty.

Its always worth just trying to fight a ticket. My bro fought one for going like 55 in a 40 and won by just saying he was sorry and it was his fist time driving a car since he was back from college. If you have never gotten a ticket in the past I would just say sorry and you did not realize you were going as fast and say it would not happen again. Later this month im going in to fight a ticket i got from hitting some guy in the back during a snow storm that a cop he "had" to give me. I'm going in with reports of the weather saying it was not my fault. Luckily this accident let me guy my new SI : ) !!!!!

Maybe I should have fought it myself... Yesterday I called up one of the attorney's that sent me advertisements in the mail. I was going to go with a few others but none of them ever picked up while I was on hold so I had to settle with whoever did.

So I have to pay $50, but this attorney I guess just asks for differed jutification (sp?) rather than fighting it. From what I got out of the conversation. So I've got to pay $50 alongside with court cost ranging from like $150-$200 something.

Doesn't sound like anything better but it does keep it off my record. I just wished the other guys picked up... After 20 minutes on hold I just gave up.

You can do deffered adjucation yourself, all you have to do is ask for it. You should always take tickets to court.
