Dealer markup rims on 08 Si, $5,000.00!

So I was at a honda dealer this morning, in Montclair. I was looking at the Si's with Momo 18's on 'em. (I saw a guy with these rims, from that dealer to. Sucka) Nice rims, dont get me wrong. But the markup is $2700 for the rim only. Tires are $1000 more. So I asked the salesman if I was to buy that car, I'm not only paying for the Momo wheels and tires, but the OEMs too??? He says yeah. OEM wheels from the dealer, I'm guestimating at $1200.? So of course I ask him if I'd be taking the OEMs home in the trunk. He says no. (i knew this going in, but whatever)

So pretty much, those rims and tires are gonna cost you almost $5,000.00!!! BTW, sticker was $27k+. There were 4 of 'em.

i heard of some dealerships letting people take stock wheels when they also purchase the upgraded wheels. It should be that way unless they take the price of the stock wheels off the purchase price

they told me if i bought hfp wheels when i bought the car, that id pay their overpriced price for the wheels and tires, and installations, AND i wouldnt get my stock wheels and tires but somehow that was included in the price...

I hate that dealer.

When I went there looking for a fiji, I wanted to see it in person and in the sunlight. So the salesguy says " we can bring the catalog outside for you". I was like wtf. What an idiot. The fiji looks a lot dif from the color in the catalog.

Kinda sad that all these Mugens are sitting. Only further lessens our chances of getting future Mugens, possibly Type R variants..

Thats pretty stupid and its such a rippoff!! I feel so sorry for suckers buying a Mugen Si...unless they are rich hardcore car collectors.

hey it's Honda's loss. if they sold the CTR or Mugen RR for $27-$30k this site would be empty. we'd all be camped out at a dealership.

For that much it better come with SH-AWD and an Acura interior! and it must absolutely must must be built and made in Japan! and it must have 400+ HP! If the Type-R ever makes it to America Honda better price it around 25k and it better have Acuras SH-AWD system and a high hp and high tq engine! the Mugen USDM Civic is a complete disaster and a joke it's a wannabe Type-R. 30k for a Civic SI with Mugen emblems wooo! ill pass on the Mugen. I hope 09 Civics get the JDM body style!
