This is what I mean tukai. I'm not saying that we NEED the holes drilled in our bumpers, I'm just saying that they're doing what they're told to do. When they get the car, part of the process of getting it ready for sale is drilling that hole. I dislike it just as much as you guys, but I'm not about to walk into Honda and yell at them for doing their job.

But it seems like every dealership you go into has awards of some sort hanging up. They seem to be giving them out like they were going out of style.

I'm not bitching at the dealership for doing it. That's fine. But give the owner, the person who paid 20k for the car the OPTION of whether or not to drill that unnecessary hole!

Besides, there are other options to put the plate in other places, of which I was planning on.

And the dings and scratches? I think I definitely can bitch about that.

I got the car fixed and back. They rubbed out the entire hood, fixed the hole and took out the ding. Everything looks great. If you didn't know that hole was ever there, you'd never know. Pics to come.

My service guy the whole time was great. Lesson to take from this: Do a complete walk around with your service person EVERY TIME before you drop the car off for ANY service!

I'm glad we don't need a front plate in Michigan and can just avoid all this. My front bracket will continue to sit in its bag in front of my donut spare.

My holes were drilled in already along with all the other civics in the dealership's. I'm sure other dealerships have it done to mount whatever license plate bracket they had. I assumed it was what they were instructed to do.

I think you should do nothing. If you were fine with it before not knowing that it was drilled in, why are you worrying now?

When I went to pickup my 08 SI the dealer put screws in my bumper to hold the front plate on even though I live in MI "no front plates" and I told them not to. They replaced the bumper for free.
