^wow! When I was planning on getting an fg2 I was quoted at $92/month, and that was when I was 23.

An older z car for me is quoted @ $72/month..

I love the Si, it's a great car. In fact I urged my gf to buy one when I still had my Prelude, so I have had some time behind the wheel of the Si. Chill with the brand bashing, the one-upsmanship, and next time you try to arguew, bring facts to the table and not your hyped up personal preference.

your modified car wins races, I applaud you. But do you know the true meaning of an "enthusiast"? Careful, there is a fine line between an enthusiast and a fanboi.

I agree with you. The Z is more costly to maintain and operate. 15 gallons of 93 is a heart breaker. But where do you get all this non-sense about "easily warped rotors and failing clutches?". Drive ANY car hard and you will get the same things going out.

Cheaper interior= yes, the Si CRUSHES the Z here I love the way the Si doors sound when you close them, among other things.

I gave you time slips, kid. You need more?

Looks are subjective, so happy YOU think the car looks bad. Awesome, congrats.

Yeah youre giving me the best time slips you can find for it. but that doesnt mean everyone with a stock z is gonna run that. time slips dont mean a thing. thats taking the meathead "mustang gt" guy approach, saying that i'll rape any car in a drag race. I didnt say you said that either, just the appraoch your heading in. I think the z is a great looking and sounding car, especially the nismo. It was the very fisrt car I wanted when i was 17. but as for the topic, the Si is a better choice over a used Z of any kind.

No problem, I am not bitter, just giving real facts to anyone who would be reading this thread. Undeniably, the driver is the determining factor for most any race, and most Z drivers wouldn't be hitting those times.

I will agree that the car is a massively better used choice. Honda's in general are more reliable from what I have seen. The third gear issue on the Si is bothersome though; my gf's car has been ok since she switched over to Amsoil, but I am gradually feeling the gear starting to go bad again. I want her to keep the Si for as long as possible, so I hope they issue a general recall soon.

Yeah and same goes for si drivers. I'd say >50% cannot and will not get into the 14's, stock because of driver ability. But some can push it and get low 14's with radials on a stock si. And not to bash the Z, but I see two get owned everytime i go the night races(not racing myself, just witnessing). But all racing and such aside I like the look and sound. Just not the performance and reliability over my si. 3.0l 300hp should perform a lot better IMO. I'd go with the new Si anyday. 2.0l 197hp is enough unless your looking for a rocket.

i faced a similar choice when buying my car it was either a brand new no history 08 coupe si or a 04 g35 stick with the brembo brake package things that bothered me the car could not negotiate turns as well as is looks like it can and its basically the same thing as the 350 z just a little heavier so i chose the si im into hooking up my cars ricer this ricer that honestly the people that say that are the schmucks that have gotten blow out by little civics with mods which i love doing by the way cause it makes it so much better in the end =)
