Saw a 15 year old girl get hit by a Landcruiser less than 5 metres away. She was running across the road to get my friends taxi he had just got out of and got hit literally less than a metre away from him. We all just stood there thinking "wtf was that?" as we couldn't believe we'd just seen somebody get hit. I ran across the road to check on her but she was dead on impact I think. I went to the hospital with my friend (who was in shock and completely flipping out) and happened to walk past her family sat in the waiting room being told thier daughter was dead... that's when it really hit home what i'd just witnessed. Very disturbing.

My sisters ex-boyfriends twin brother had his throat cut open by a loose wire when he fell off a quad bike. Thankfully he was ok as it missed his jugular by millimetres. That wasn't too pleasant to see.

Then of course there was my ex-girlfriends brother who hit a camel (which I posted about in the Roadkill thread).

I've seen countless Landcruisers and Patrols that have recently rolled down sand dunes in the dessert, and the cars are just left there covered in blood and scraps of clothes that have been ripped off the occupants. That is very spooky to see.

I once saw a Proton GTi just after it had been in a bad accident, and i'm pretty sure noone lived through that, as the engine was coming out the rear window.

I've seen some pretty gruesome accidents out here, and on a regular basis too. Everyone drives like ******* idiots here so it's no surprise really.

It's the same everywhere in the GCC. I'm pretty sure anyone that has lived in this part of the world for a substantial amount of time has seen plenty of what I described above!
