08 Si asking price

edit: I am selling, not buying

There are no prices yet on KBB, Edmunds, NADA, etc for 08 Si's. Based on 06 and 07 prices, I was thinking ~$20,000. Is this too much for an 08 Si with 6080 mi? No nav or summer tires.
I was going to keep it after getting a third car, but am giving up on the Si. I am not in a hurry to sell it and don't have to, but really want to.

08 TW Si coupe
6080 mi
Neuspeed SS, no other mods
no wrecks
paid cash

20,000 is a bit high for that many miles. I'd say somewhere around 18-19k would be a much better price. since it has been modded you may even be able to haggle it a little bit lower than that.

why would it be worth less with a short shifter?

yes, any modifications that you do will end up lowering the value of the vehicle. So unfortunately it will be worth a bit less since it has been modified.

So, I'll put the stock one back in and not mention it if someone's going to try to use a free short shifter against me.

My local dealer is trying to persuade me to buy a 2008 Si sedan. I am trying to wait for one with navigation. The one he has is a base sedan. He is selling it for $19,610 with destination included

Considering that I got my 08 FG2 for 20,350 before taxes, I would not purchase yours for 20,000. Especially with what I consider a "beginner car" w/ a manual transmission, the couple extra thousand more than make up for the peace of mind I get from a new car. Unfortunately, you'll loose at least a few thousand with your hasty sale since cars loose at least 10% by driving it off the lot.

Edit: BTW ^^^^^^^^^^ thats a great deal!

Yeah that's what I got mine brand new for, I'd say $18000-$19000 or so would be a decent price

I just paid $20,400 for a brand new one. (22k OTD).
No navi or summer tires.

I'd say get a new one.

Seems like I won't be losing much if I keep it another year. I'm leaning towards keeping it.

i would def. suggest keeping it for another year or so, at the very least just so that you don't end up upside-down on the loan. Also it is an great little car, so you might as well keep it long enough for it to be worth the time/ money you spent to buy it.

hi, im new here. $20,000 is a lot for 08 si with 6k miles. in fact when i was searching for a new si sedan, i found nhbp sedan w/o navi 8k miles for $16,500.

i just paid $21,000 for a new fbm sedan w/navi before taxes, title and registration.

ultimately it is your car and you can determine any price you want.

Man no matter what you eventually get for it you're gonna lose on it big time, even if you paid cash for it, you might as well just keep it for awhile.

Man, the SI's are cheap where you guys are... Here in Utah, bluebook on an '06 SI is still 19,995, without nav or summer tires. Some of you guys are getting new '08 SI's for about the same, or slighly less then that?

On topic: Just saw the edit. Keep your car for three years. Worry about selling it then. :)

i picked mine up yesterday in DFW area:

Fiji Blue 08 Cpe
Navigation
Moonroof Visor
$20,700 + TTL

i had a 2006 Habanero Red Cpe w/ Nav (bought 12/2005) that we paid $21,400 + TTL for...

that being said, i had to pit a few dealers against one another to get a better deal on this one... most were trying to get sticker. there's too many in the area to pay more than invoice...
