Random VIDEO of me driving around.

Just messing around.
In the beginning you can hear the exhaust note pretty good. Once I get on the freeway it gets kinda quite and boring....

Please no bashing about my driving..

Heh, just by knowing how fast I have to be going to get that kind of engine speed in fifth gear... pretty quick

I enjoyed the video.

Not much acceleration in 6th, huh? The car feels like it could go more.

At the risk of sounding like a tool, I just want to say no matter how skilled you are, or think you are, you don't have a right to drive like that on public roads.

Videos like this piss me off. I just hope you are never involved in or god forbid cause an accident driving like that.

What equipment/mounting system do you use? I would love to film my canyon runs.

As for driving like that on public roads, I see cops drive that way all the time, and they aren't even rolling code half the time. Most of the LEOs I know don't get that much car training, and a Crown Vic weighs a hell of a lot more than a sport compact.

For the safety issue, I would be a lot more worried about the lane-drifting, mini-van driving soccer mom yapping without a handsfree, or the hypermiler in their Hybrid Pious going 50mph in the #1 lane. Maybe y'all drive a tad slower in Illinois, but here in Cali, Flow of Traffic is often 80+.

Weaving through lanes and passing like a bat outa hell in the slow lane is the stuff that causes more accidents than cruising fast in a fast lane or slow in a slow lane. Plus when you are blowing past everyone else like they're standing still, you're probably going too fast.

There are basic rules to highway systems I'm sure everyone here knows (but not everyone follows). Drive faster in the left lanes, slower in the right. Get into the right lane if someone is coming up faster behind you. (In countries like Germany they actually enforce these laws and realize responsible speed doesn't kill, it's too bad America isn't like that but there are many reasons why.) Maybe people adhere to these rules more often in Virginia than in California. God knows how many jokes I've heard about SoCal drivers...

I never said the driving in that video is the only kind that bothers me so don't act like I did. Yes I get dislike unattentive/distracted drivers (I was once surrounded on all 4 sides by girls brushing their hair on the highway with no hands on the wheel, I got outa there quick.) Yes I dislike cops that drive like they are above the law. (I know a cop who laughs at the fact that "tax-payers" yell at him because he drives like the laws are different for him) Yes I dislike people driving slow in a fast lane. (I know a woman who says she should be allowed to do so because her car "need a break every once in a while")

I guess you and I disagre on how one should responsibly drive fast on a public highway. Oh well, just how I feel, I've worn my opinion out and it obviously won't change anything since noone else agrees. I'm done.
