I don't think there is really any need to disparage any of the cars. Each has a purpose in the lineup and people that like them.

Heck if I had enough money I'd get a Fit, and a new Accord to keep my Si company.

The Fit, from what I hear, has better interior quality than the Civic, is smaller and better for city driving, and has some great features. The price is hard to beat.

but the civic looks better. IMHO, the current batch of civic 4 doors are the best looking small car around. the coupe looks good too, but the 4 door is just a beautiful thing.
I'm going to get some heat for this, but I personally think that the 8th generation Civic sedan looks excessively bloated and wide, and not in the good way.

The coupe, on the other hand, is easily the best looking 2-door under $20,000.

The sedan's aren't awful, but I def prefer the 7th gen sedans over the current ones.

My brother drives a fit, and it seems like deers love that car, he hit one on the highway and another deer jump on his car while the car was standing still, thats just bad luck..

And no the fit is not as fast as a civic Lx, and i know because i drive his all the time, it handles better, but its not as fast, his car is manual and shifts like butter, i told him i will buy his car in the future, those things will be like the old civic hatchback that you see on youtue smoking lambos and vipers and vetts. on the other hand everytime he get inside my car he sais it looks more expensive overall than his fit, imagine a fit with a k20 turbo.

I love the fits.

Haha, I know. Well, there are aspects from each generation I like. I don't like how bloated the 8th gen sedan looks compared to the 7th gen. I really did enjoy the 7th gens interior for some reason, but I think the 8th gen, overall, is a better car.

The build quality, personally, doesn't seem as high to me, but that could just be because of my own personal experiences with the Civic.

I did. Here is what you need to see.

Difference I see is that you have an 08 and I have an 07. Idk if they started to get their motors from japan after 07 or what, but it's worth looking into.

I wonder if they made any changes to the quality of the motor if that's the case.

Fit makes a better city car I think. Smaller engine means better city driving mpg's and it has plenty of room for easy hauling.

Civic makes a better highway or distance commuter car. Better highway mpg's because of the Fit's short gearing.

Isn't the 09 fit supposed to get something like 43 or 46 mpg/hwy?

I read something over on fitfreak that says when your foot is at 100% throttle, the dbw on that car makes it 73% throttle to save gas. Can someone with a fit verify?
