ive seen quite a few swap for k20s and run 13s all day. i would imagine it would be similar to owning an si/type s but paying real cheap insurance

my insurance went up for my 08 fit compared to my 06 SI.
not by much (maybe 50 every 6 months), but it still went up. i can only think it may be due to the car being newer. ill see when my poilcy renws in 6 months.

I was just talking to the GF the other day about trading my LX in for a Fit Sport. Then I washed my LX and I'm rethinking things lol.

Seriously though, for me. I'm big on road trips, and the fit is more than capable comapred to an LX Coupe.

Not to mention. The new 09 Fit Sport looks great.

Could be safety... how does the safety compare between the Si and the Fit? I would bet the Si is safer... just a guess though

i would not pick a fit over the civic the civic is better styling and inside the cabin of course better features the civic is a bit more sportier on the looks.

going off the pictures online, the fit's interior actually looks better than the civic lx interior imo. maybe b/c it's black or dark grey vs. grey/taupe.

I like the shift boot on the fit too.

woah woah woah, now your crossing a line....

lol j/k. To each their own. I went and test drove a fit sport with my GF and the interior is very nice IMO. I really think its better than the RSX-S interior. The gauges remind me of the TSX/TL gauges somewhat. The layout of everything is nice too.

Last I heard the Fit was still assembled in Japan unlike most of the Civic coupes and sedans that are sold in the US.

Yes I heard this too. That is a + in my book. I've heard that the Canada and Ohio (even the Alabama) plants are "top notch" and follow the same QA guidelines as their Japanese counterparts but for some reason, I still like to see a Japanese car come out of Japan.

In all honesty, the only real part made in Japan in the Si is the part that everyone complains about. The transmission.

In any case, the appeal of the Fit is that it is essentially like the 6th generation Civic, compared to the 8th generation Civic. I mean, seriously, our cars are just as big as older Accords.

The Fit/Jazz was released to bring back the economy car to the lineup that the original was.

I like the Fit/Jazz. I like its purpose. I like its engine. But I wouldn't trade my Si for it.
