thankfully im not in the same boat with you, but that is super respectable. and it does highlight the point that lifelessons will be learnt until you die. how you learn them makes no difference. if a kid gets an si his parents bought them, fabulous. i wouldnt turn that down, would ANY of you? if a kid works hard and makes the payments himself, double fab, that takes an awful lot of dedication and deserves mad props. if you save and save and buy your first new car down the road, again, awesome, but no one way is better. who you are as a person determines what you take out of life and the lessons you learn. my best friend since i was a little kid ALWAYS had the nicest, newest stuff. his folks were rich. now, hes making 120k salary AND getting his 36k/yr. london lease picked up by his company. he did that for himself, cause he has the brains and the drive. you can be spoiled and not BE spoiled.

wow... I hope older people with Si's don't think I am a spoiled brat in my Si. I'm 19 years old and very far from one. I work my butt off to drive this car. almost half my paychecks go to my 350$ payments. On the other hand my girlfriend of 4 1/2 years would probably be considered a brat she was given a brand spankin' new 2005 350z on her 15 birthday. I always kinda secretly resented her for it, even though I was able to drive it it still got under my skin that she had it(i was driving a '95 civic dx at the time).(350z auto hits 156-7ish! crazzy shit) anyways she eventually wrecked the Z and drives a X5 now. Just saying that i hope people aren't looking at me like my girlfriend and I'm glad I work for my car it makes me appreciate it much more.

I'm 20 the end. I pay and purchased the si myself. Everyone has a different background.
Let the spoiled get spoiled, theres is nothing myself can do about it, but learn the vaule of money and effort it takes to make money. The spoiled ones i know, at this moment in thier lives dont vaule money and its cost. I dont discriminate agaisnt them nor the rich. Because im sure they know what effort it takes to get them to where they are at. We all choose what we want to be and live how we want to live.

I gotta give props to all the younger people who got off their asses and are doing somethin with their life. Good Luck.

I kinda knew a guy in HS who was driving a brand new civic (back in 92) that was dropped, intake, exhaust....blah blah blah. People gave him crap for being a daddy's boy. He said he was doin it all by himself.

One day the DEA came to my school, busted him with 4 lbs of weed in his locker and 5 kilos! of cocain in his car.

Yeah, he WAS doin it all by himself.
