2006 Civic Deal in So Cal

Hello All, hope everyone is well. Anyone shopping for Civic in So Cal should definitely contact John Reiner at Hollywood of Honda. The man is true to his word, my wife and I were out of the dealership in less than half hour.

I purchased my 06 Civic EX sedan auto, galaxy gray. I got it for $ 600 over invoice (or $18,764 + tax & lic). Could possibly haggle for more savings but decided to roll with it since they have the exact color and trim that I was looking for.

John is the Internet/Fleet manager at Hollywood of Honda, I did most of my inquiry by email. Just a quick phone call before we drove to the dealership and that was it, paperwork was ready when we got there and they even beat the rate I got from Capital One! John truly is the man! Tell him Phillip give you the info as I told him that I will tell everyone of my great experience working with him.

Hate to bust your bubble, but I thought most internet dealers were willing to sell at invoice or $200 over invoice. I got mine at invoice here in northern California, however I did notice that southern California dealers didn't offer me invoice pricing via internet quotes.

Anyhow, you still got a good deal and I hope you thoroughly enjoy your new car! Welcome to 8thCivic!

One single post to promote a dealership. Nothing suspicious about that at all.

Dealt with AutoWest Honda in Fremont via internet quotes at Edmunds. Did all the haggling via e-mail. Didn't actually call the guy until I scheduled a time to pick it up.

ha! ha! You guys crack me up.

For those in So Cal that have been shopping around for 06 Civic lately will know that it isn’t getting easier finding a reasonable deal around here, not to mention that most dealers have limited supply of the sedans.

I did my shopping by getting all Honda dealers in the area from Honda site ( http://automobiles.honda.com/ ), from there, I requested online quotes from each individual dealers in the surrounding area (the Honda site has listing of dealers based on zip code you enter and can hyperlink you to that particular dealer’s website).

I received immediate replies but mostly 300 to 500 below msrp, the 2 that I received reasonable quotes were from John at Honda of Hollywood and another from a fellow in Airport Marina Honda but he didn’t have the trim/color combination I was looking for.

I was impress on how smooth the transaction was when I went down to the dealership, no “bait and switch,” none of them car dealer tricks and BS. For added bonus, they beat my Capital One rate and I was in and out of the dealership. Just want to share this specially to those in So Cal who might be surfing this site for deal advise.

Peace
