scratches, swirl marks (bad buffing), check if your electronic works, and I took mine for a quick spin to see if there were any abnormal behaviour before taking delivery.

I wouldn't worry too much about mechanical, that's what warranty is for, cosmetic stuff was the main of my worries.

If you got wheel locks, check if all four of them are on and ask the dealer to pull out the key in the trunk or glove box.

Don't let them say it is there, make sure he/she shows it to you.

-------------

2 masters keys and 1 guest (not sure what you call it) key.

-------------

Lil mini rubber trays that sits inside the arm rest and the bin area below the radio. My loaner EX had both but my Si doesn't. If they don't believe you, ask them to check the other Civics and take it out there.

-------------

My car came from another dealership and I order no extras. But when I check my trunk, there a trunk tray in there. So if you got extras without asking for it, don't say anything.

OH RLY!?

I'm gonna check that out, not that I'm complaining about the roomy arm rest storage.

I made the dealer fix the hole from the front license plate bracket they put on my ex. Wish I would've just let it be. I could've done a better job. Whatever, I'm the only one that notices.

Also. This is a biggie. I didn't really feel the need to test drive the car, but DO IT! Mine was severely out of alignment. When I got on the freeway, if I let go of the wheel, it would be in the next lane in 2-3 seconds.

They wouldn't fix it under warranty a week later cause I had aftermarket rims on the car and had already sold the OEM's.

1.) No drill holes in the front bumper (there are slots for a front license plate)
2.) Carpet floor mats for each front seat and one full backseat mat.
3.) Look closely for swirl marks/damage of any kind.
4.) Remove dealer logo.
5.) Make sure all plastic and residue is removed from interior carpets, panels, and windows.
6.) Make sure the windows and sunroof operate as well.
7.) You should have two master keys with keyless entry and one gray valet key.
8.) A donut spare in the trunk.
9.) Me to come inspect the car because I don't miss a great god damn thing and dealers fear me.

Take off the ridiculous 4" square Prop 65 warning label on the driver's side window. I can't believe people leave that on there!!! My wife's dad has it on his 2005 Sequoia still. The guy at my work still has it on his Silverado. If I was a cop, I'd pull people over and give them a ticket for having it on there for resrticting their vision. I would really like to give them a ticket for being a dillweed and leaving it on there, or not having enough pride in their car to take it off!

Also good to do is bring a friend or two that knows a lot about cars to help inspect the car.

My cousin was the one who pointed out tiny rock chips on the fender and rim. I was too excited about the car to notice them.
