However, I decided to buy it in Naperville, Illinois. That's a more expensive area but the dealership is top notch and was comparable to other dealerships. If you think about it, the price for the car was perfectly fine. $20,190 (Car w/ Navi) $590 (Fogs Installed) [I think... It may be been a bit cheaper. I have to pull out the paper work to be sure] $470 (Remote Start) $125 (Or maybe less/more... Mud Guards) $500 (Package A) $1,500+ (Electronics Extended Warranty. 6 Years 80,000 Miles) Plus the taxes, plates, registration fees, etc. All of these prices were the same or comparable to other dealerships. |

I've thought about it, but the car is all digital and it'll cover my navigation too. I'd rather be safe than sorry. But it's like $30 a month... I just want the car covered all the way through the payments. |

I paid $2000 for extended warranty for 7/80K for the whole car. After the 7 years, Honda will refund me the $2000 back. It was a promotion that they had. Just courious why only the electronics are covered. Was this a choice or a promo. |

As for the car being too expensive. The tax in Illinois for a car is about $1,400 on it's own plus $140 or so on plates. There are a few other fees that every dealer would of charged so they're legit. It's not like the car itself cost $6,000 more. Also, did you get an automatic transmission or manual? Did your price include the destination fee like mine? I worked on getting a Civic EX for a few months and this is by far the best deal I'd be able to find anywhere within the area. |

you got ripped off man, next time you buy your car do more research on it's true value, and get dealerships to fight each other to keep you as a customer.
If your credit is bad, ask your dad or family member to cosign for you. You're paying more for an EX than most of us with an Si... =[ |

However, you're missing an important factor in your asking $350 per month. Mathematically it's impossible with a 5 year loan even at 4.9% interest. you would need 2.9% on 60months which you can only get usually with domestics. I guess if you got a ~7% (which is honestly kinda hard with your credit score and no down payment) 6 year loan on that $19,174 your payments wouldbe around $330. Go to bankrate.com and click on auto lon calculator and punch in your total amount you need to borrow. |

I took the method of e-mailing dealers and everything. I didn't step foot into a dealership until a couple of months later after I had worked with each dealer for the best possible deal. My dad co-signed and he has excellent credit. Once it was all said and done, we had it all worked out by category from each dealer by e-mail. There were no hidden fees or anything as it matched all the paperwork I signed. Edit: Nevermind. I think you were talking to the OP. |
