I wish i would have just gotten an Si if i knew the gas mileage was that similar. The M/T gear box on the Civic sucks ass...and i have an EX.

In any case i get 260 miles with usually one bar left on average. If its all free way driving ill break into 300-330 miles. Makes me feel like i'm getting gypped!

You ARE getting gypped, that's not 30/38, that's more like the Si's 23/32, now rated at 21/29 new rating system. I generally get around 250-300 until I go to 2 bars. Get yo shit checked!

For me, it's in the morning. When I start the car lets say I'm missing like 5 bars, when my engine's pretty much heated up, i regain like 2 bars. Stupid condensed gasoline.

i have an 06 ex last summer coming back from tennesse i put 477 miles on 1 tank and only took 10 gallons to fill up. but around town i usually go 300 miles before gas light comes on. i try to fill up my car before gas light comes on cause i work at 6 am most every day and don't want to take the chance of running out.

I have gotten a little over 500 miles on a tank. Had two segments still lit up on the gas gauge. My best tank was 38.90 mpg, but I generally get 37 and a decimal point. I'm driving an LX with a 5 speed. It's slow, but it doesn't use much gas. I'm confident in my numbers because when I fill up, I FILL UP. I fill it until gas comes up to the threads for the gas cap and stays there. Supposedly, you're not supposed to do this, but it is repeatable. It'll hold another gallon and a half to two gallons when the pump kicks off. I drive ~120 miles per day, so it doesn't stay there for long.

For comparison purposes, a MINI Cooper S with the John Cooper Works engine kit gets 27-29 mpg. I have broken the 30 mpg barrier once or twice in 90K miles of driving it. An LT1 Impala SS will get 17 mpg in mixed driving, but I did get 25 mpg on a tank when I drove it to Florida. A LT1 6 speed Camaro will get 18.5 or thereabouts. I drove a VW Beetle diesel to St. Louis and back and only got 36. I was expecting at least 45 mpg out of it.

I just filled up my Si today, 376 miles on 12 gallons. About 60% city and 40% highway. On my last highway trip I got 320 miles on 8.4 gallons, almost 39 mpg. I must have a really light foot.

OK, so your saying you have a Mustang that can drive a 340+ mile trip using less than 8 to 10 gal of gas? Not saying it's impossible from a V-6, but doubful.

The '04 Chevy Impala I traded was about as lean on fuel usage as anyone will find for a V-6 and could crack 30+ mpg on long trips if contitions were right. Thus far this civic is doing the same job on @ 2/3 the fuel.

My car didn't do so well on gas mileage at first... I was gettin about 220 miles per gallon... and then as I kept adding the miles on it it started gettin a lot better.. I'm up around 280 miles take a few? per gallon on the highway. Prices are sooooo ridiculous right now. I hate it! Oh and I have 6500 miles on my car since Feb. 3rd.
