Well I was talking to a saleslady at a Honda dealership in Canada here, this was before I went down south and bought my Si, and she was convinced that the Si's in the US have different batteries, altenators and that almsot all the parts were different. I laughed at her and went to the US and bought my car.

Salesman told me the Si was not just "faster then a s2k", but "it will blow the doors off of one" when I first started to look.

A douchbag at the parts counter @ Hall Honda in VA Beach, Va. told me that you couldn't get a hardtop on the s2k or get a softtop with the rear glass put onto the 2000 model s2k. What an idiot. Wish I could have told his mom to swallow around 30 years ago.

(the first time I went looking at Troy Honda in Michigan, after being ignored in the lobby for 25 minutes before being approached)

Dealer: "you look young, are you sure you can afford this?"

Me: ".....I make more than you do, actually...I have pay stubs in my glovebox to prove it"

(his jaw drops)

"...and you just lost a sale".

Yeah, my buddy always wore sweat pants and a hoodie wherever he went. We went to the mitsubishi stealership and he want the new eclipse. They said that they have a better car for someone one like him so they took him to the UNDER 10K LOT SPECIAL PRICE FOR YOU NO CREDIT REQUIRED!!! and he said can I speak to a manager, manager came and he told the manager the following:
"Is it just me or do you have a bunch of racist pigs roaming your lots? Just because I'm Mexican and I look like I don't have cash doesn't mean your lot monkeys need to deny service...on that note, I want you to have a word with that pig over there and tell him other races exist other than white people. Other than that I would like to order a black 07 eclipse GTS."

I went in once to a Mazda dealership to check out the new Mazdaspeed6, and the salesguy told me that another guy had gone in and bought 2 of them, identical trim and color, so that he can drive one and keep one as a collector's car...

A Ferrari 360 and a Lambo Gallardo drive by and we kind of gaze at them being the typical young exotic lovers we are, and the salesman proceeds to tell us that "the EVO would smoke those cars off the line. They are just all topend power, but this EVO has power down low." I think he forgot that those cars would own the EVO, especially the AWD Gallardo (which I'm thinking he didn't know was AWD).

He was telling us about the AWD system and how it can be biased 100% to the front or back... I'm pretty sure this isn't true but if it is, than I am a moron and that is hella cool.

I asked about the Ralliart and he told us that it would be a nice car for the price.. and if we wanted more power, to just throw a turbo on it. Not sure if he knows the new Ralliart is a detuned EVO...with a turbo lol.

I won't even start with random Honda sales guys when we went to check out the V6 Accord coupe and saw a Mugen in the back of the showroom.. This guy went on and on about it. We started responding and when we said "K20", his look changed and said "he has been out of the scene for a while" and wasn't sure what the K20 was.
I think that is ture. You can do it on WRX Sti's too.

Well a couple weeks ago I was in the market to buy a used car; I currently drive a '88 Toyota Pickup (4-speed). I was really interested in the EP3's because I was more concerned with better gas mileage and having a hatchback to haul stuff. I got to a stealership and began my interesting adventure:

Me: Hey, I'm interested in this '05 Civic Si. How many miles does this car have?
Douche: 25k miles and it has a CAI! (It actually had 40k miles)
Me: Mind if I take it for a test drive?

As I'm test-driving it, he made no attempt to engage in any conversation with me. As we were pulling back into the stealership he says...

Douche: Nice huh? And these are "Recardo" racing seats. (They were actually the stock EP3 seats).
Me: Well...I like it but it has a couple of scratches and dents.
Douche: Oh we can pop those dents out! Don't worry!
Me: Well, $19k is really too much as well.
Douche: OH!? Now that's offensive to me!
Me: Um...how?
Douche: Well, telling me that something like a Civic SI isn't worth this much is offensive.
Me: Well, this isn't exactly one of the most popular Si's due to it having a less powerful K20 engine.
Douche: IT'S AN SI, IT'S REALLY POWERFUL! THIS IS REALLY OFFENDING!
Me: This cost more than a used RSX Type S and THAT is more powerful.
Douche: Ok ok, how much would you give me for this?
Me: $12k.
Douche: Haha! If I could sell my cars that cheap do you think I would be stuck doing this piece of shit job?

I said I wasn't interested and was about to leave. Then, he came rushing at me...

Douche: Hey hey! If you can get this Civic Si for $12k why did you come here?!
Me: Simple, I'm car shopping. And I have a question for you.
Douche: Yeah..?
Me: With people skills like that, do you ever wonder why people don't buy cars from you and you're stuck in "this piece of shit job"?

The only good thing I got out of that day was that I test drove an EP3. It was ok but it made me realize I didn't want to deal with these used car dealerships and wanted something WORTH it's price. $19k for a car with 40k miles? I don't think so.

I'm awaiting my '08 Taffy White Civic Si coupe
