i hope all of you guys arent letting the sales people get away with saying all this shit.. if they say "ya this car is 40 grand" you ask them where did they get that information, and tell them they are off by nearly 20 grand.. by catching them on bullshit, you will either 1. inform them of the correct information or 2. teach them to stop lying

I went with the dealer when i picked up my car to fill up on gas. i said: make sure u put premium in, or i wont buy it. " he laughed and said " no problem "

I came outta the gas station the find the REGULAR button was pushed and he finished pumping. I stayed quite, and when we got back to the dealership, he said " ready to sign! " i said, nope, have a nice day. "

The guy couldnt believe it. I went and picked up my SI from another dealership, and drove it back to that sales man and said " see, i told you i was a serious buyer, but becuase you were to impatient to sell it, and couldnt care what i wanted, you lost out " then i left.

When I was pissed at Honda for not being able to get me the car I wanted I went to the Chevrolet dealer to look at and test drive the Cobalt SS.. The sales man wanted to run my credit before the test drive. I told him that's not how it works. I said I'll test drive the car first then if im still intrested then you can run my credit. The sales man said" this Cobalt SS is like a corvette we don't just let anyone test drive them"
I said ok whatthefuckever and left. Hahaha

thats just dumb... all they told me was that they dont want kids jerking them around for test drives... kids that have nothing better to do.

and you know what they are right, if you dont want a credit check to test drive a car then you dont deserve to drive the car, now do you?

hell i put 1000 down on my car and i couldnt even touch it for three months.

I test drove a NBP Si coupe like the one I bought .

After it was all done, I asked, "do you have a NEW one that has NOT been test driven?". He got me one with 6 miles on it from the PDI and the rest was history. He was trying to explain the car and I was WAY ahead of him in knowing it all. He said a few things that made me wanna laugh. I was having too much fun driving the other coupe that I wasn't going to buy LMAO!. he says "man you REALLY know about these cars don't you?" " you drive them really well!"......WTF!?. like driving manual is hard.

Would you call me an idealistic dreamer to hope if somebody (with some level of authority) in Honda were to read these posts and do something about the level of BS we have to go through with dealers? It seems Honda only cares about those 5 minute phone surveys when you're happy as a pig in crap to have the car and glad you don't have to deal with anymore more dealer BS!

Never. Its called sales. They would rather sell 1000 cars, and 800 be happy, then sell 700 and 600 be happy

I as many of you probably have had a friend who was a car salesman. They would practice on each other their skills. If a customer asked a question they are to find a way to not answer the question or say they don't know. This is assuming the DO know the answer. If a customer is in the dark and the darkness is to the dealers benefit, keep then there. They practice on each other to see how quickly they could answer a question with pure disinformation. And they hate people who know the blue books and how to figure with a business calculator.
They regularly replace good tires with rags. Hold you license they used for credit info. making you beg for it back. And of course the 200 point inspection they did by qualified technicians which they never did. The four square confusion box, etc. etc. And, "I've spent over two hours of time with you, that should prove my loyalty". I have a seething hatred of car salesmen.

hahaha, a viper, yeah right.
even if it was as fast as a viper or corvette, its still under $30000, and nowhere near the racing quality of one of those cars

putting down money on a car you are planning to buy is entirely different then going around test driving 10 cars to see which of the 10 you want.. i dont see the point of deposits tho, because you can just get them back, so i would easily let them swipe my card, and then after the test drive immediately get it back.. they should either do away with deposits altogether or charge you $50 for a deposit, but you dont get it back if you decide you dont want the car.. test drives tho, those have nothing to do with saying "yes im going to buy this car"

see, if a salesman is this shocked by people like us, then that is a bad sign.. now i dont think a salesman should know what an fg2 or fa5 is, but i do think they should know the basics, and not be amazed by enthusiasts

sadly.. altho i hope they would rather sell 750 with 700 happy over 1000/800
