I love my Si but....

> Si

2004 GTO 6spd. I got it for $17k with 32,000 miles. Bone stock.

Let me just say... WOW at Torque!

For a GM car, this thing is SOLID.

I decided to keep my Si as well, so I still feel the lovins.

I completely understand why you went to a GTO. I would have opted for a GTO with an LS2 but lets face it... going from 197hp@ the crank to 350 is still hella sweet. Definite worthy upgrade.

I'm afraid of following suit. *holding out for '09, holding out for '09.

Nice! I switched to a new Accord. I have often thought about looking at a GTO but a friend of mine didn't like them said it was slow to heavy. He is a big Mustang Ford fan. Just because of that I should have never listened to him. I would love to drive one. The new Corvette looks super cool also.

Although it is certainly not American. Check your VIN. Those cars come over here from Australia believe it or not. They are based on the popular Holden Monaro coupe. Just be careful....the suspension is like older muscle car. It slides and does donuts real easy. into trees. I hope you will enjoy it. It is a great car.

That's a 5.7. 2004 was the first year for the GTO revival. I'm pretty sure the 6.0 went into the 2005+ models.

2004 GTO had a 5.7lt LS1. In 2005, GM blessed fans with a 400hp 6.0 lt LS2 sex machine on wheels.

It may not be a looker but the best part about that is it allows you to fly a little bit lower under the cop's radar.

I really like the styling. It's really understated, and as someone said it lets you fly under the radar a bit. The interior is really really nice, very comfy.

Want to hear something funny though? This car doesn't have a power door lock button, haha.

The car is ridiculous in the cold weather, the tires just don't have a chance. Even if it is bone stock, and really heavy, it frys the tires all through 1st and 2nd, catches in 3rd and just rockets from there on.

A good buddy of mine with a 2004 (manual as well) ran his at 13.6 @ 108 mph bone stock. They sure are heavy, but they are cozy and fun! I love it!!

How is the steering wheel? Thats the one thing that looks real weird in the pictures. Personally I kind of like the look of the car, although it would look even better with wheels and a drop.
