I don't think this car will be a collectable.....it will be(is) a joke.....There is nothing special about it other than Honda telling everyone that it is special. You can buy the same parts in a catalog and put them on another Si and have a Mugen civic.....There is nothing special, nothing that required any effort from the factory, nothing that requires any special effort from a civic Si buyer to make his car a mugen civic Si.......If you want to plunk down $30K+ and tell yourself it is special, that it is some rare collectable, then go ahead and do it....people lie to themselves everyday about all kinds of things.....If you want a nice car at a reasonable price, then go buy the regular Si and go for a drive......

difference: spoiler, exhaust, shift knob, lip kit, suspension, wheels... i'd say about 6 or 7k in upgrades.. which would make it worth around 30-31k.. i dont see why everyone's freaking out about the price tag. you'd be basically spending the same if you bought all the parts to make a replica. and they are limited so you're also paying more depending on the production number

Honda dealers are overestimating the market for these things. They are not Shelby GT500's that still command a $15,000 over list price. Shelby has a name and reputation, plus the cars are fast. The Mugen, while nice, is no muscle car or luxury performance car. You could get a G37 for that price.

for some reason, the more I look at it.. the more I start to dislike it. Not because of the price because it's "exclusive" like someone stated and people who want it will buy it.

But the rear diffuser is looking like too much, the front chin spoiler is kinda really out there, the shift knob isn't THAT nice.. except that it has mugen imprinted on it.. and the wheels really look like a volk knock off.
I'm not sure about you guys, but I think it's more hype for the mugen fanboys than anything.

Spotted: Mugen Si in Sanford FL

So I go to Courtesy Hona to get my oil changed and there she is, the Mugen Si. I snapped some pics with my phone. Now I'm sitting here looking at her. She looks tempting, but for $35,000 I don't think I would get her. If it was an R or an RR then it might be a different story.
