The dealership where I got my sedan has thier Mugen sitting outside, even overnight in the snow. They kept it in the showroom for months. I don't know what they want for it now, but they're probly tired of looking at ity.

screw it, even though it's below msrp i still can't justify the cost of essentially a body kit and exhaust

Don't forget about wheels, suspension, and the other little differences.

heh, i know man

I still find it hard to justify a 29.5 OTD vs. a 21.5 OTD I got quoted for a habi Si-dan.

Gerry Wood Honda in Salisbury NC has a Mugen Si listed on their website at a "internet special" price of $27,867...I believe that's 115 bucks over invoice!

found this on HT if anyone is interested in comparing prices from si and mugen si. i think some parks are not actually counted like the brakes but still, it adds up higher. this is just parts pricing, and not counting time and services and paint jobs for installing everything. have fun.

I guess if you are into that kind of car. I would like to see how well one keeps its value. Seems like more people are NOT willing to put out the money than are. I put my money into a 08 EXL V6 6 speed MT Accord coupe for $28,945. I just could not see putting out 30K for a civic. I don't care what Honda did to it. I think the car is marketable to a limited number of people that are all into the small loud rough riding some what fast sport sedan that handles well that insurance is over the top and has a good chance of getting stolen.

I think they look great in person, but if only the price was a bit lower and it came in colors other than Fiji Blue (Taffeta white FTW!)

The sick part about it is Mugen, in my opinion, stepped on Honda's toes with their U.S. Si. The Japan-only FD2 Type R sedan is a better looking and better performing car (the latter is true, the former is subjective) and costs...get this...$26,000 U.S. Not kidding, that's straight from many sources. The reason the Type R wasn't released here is because Honda thought people wouldn't pay that much for a Civic - at $30,000 for a Mugen that's ONLY appearance mods, and how fast they sold, I'm sure the Type R would've sold great here. Sucks for us
