2008 civic si price talk discussion

Well, one of my family members are in the market for the 2008 civic si coupes. We called several dealers..

1st dealer: They're being transported right now and may arrive somewhere around 1-2 weeks.
2nd dealer: They have one 2008 civic si w/navi. And they should have more coming in the next 2-3weeks.
3rd dealer: They should be coming within a week.

My question is, How much should he be looking to spend OTD on a 2008 civic si coupe w/ or w/o navi?

price discuss? opinions? I understand that the 2008 civic si's are bit more expensive than the 07s.

wow thats expensive

but not as expensive as this dealer we called the other day. He was asking 3900$ markup on a 2008 civic si coupe base and wanted 26,000otd ..

08's are being delivered already. and this is the third year of production for the SI, please dont fall for their markup. i would set my price midway between invoice and sticker and not settle for anything more. but always start at invoice, you never want to start high and work your way down.

BTW, i have heard numerous times that navi coupes are very limited for the 08 production..so they will probably hold it agianst you to it mark up.

They are! It was very hard to find an 07 navi Si, and took me months to find one. 08's are supposedly even more rare than that....hard to believe. You can start price talks around invoice but not sure how much they will go for that.

haha I live in Dallas, Texas. I went to David McDavid honda. What I did was went in there, spent some time with the dealer. I took 90% of msrp and dropped that price on the table to low ball him. It comes out to be 18990. Gave them that price and then let them come down from their price. he wanted 2 grand more than what i asked for but then offered 19500 and i took it. We came out to 20 flat after ttl

I have negotiated $21000 for a base Si coupe. It's in stock with 5.1 miles. They won't budge any more. I am debating if I am willing to pay this much over invoice.

edit: this the total cost before tax

25K OTD for a FBP Navi coupe with summer tires. Some dealers were asking 27,500 for the same car....on the sticker.........

Location plays a huge role.
