Thumbs up I test drove the all new Nissan Rouge!

I went down to my local Nissan dealership tonight to test drive the all new Mini Murano SUV called the Rouge, let me tell you it was awesome! the interior fit and finish, the way it drove, everything about it is awesome! it responded very well, no lurching whatsoever,no lag either, the paddle shifters work very well too. The doors close very solidly, and the one with leather and heated seats WOW! its a very very very nice vehicle! alot of awesome standard features like the cargo separator in the back, huge and deep glove box, intelligent key, home link mirror i could go on and on it is a very well built car! my friend just bought an 07 Honda CRV man the CRV looks plain, fugly and cheap, looks like a mini van and the Rav4 dont get me started that thing looks like a yaris and a Hyundai santa fe mated. The all new Rouge will be a huge success for Nissan, ill take a blue one with black leather loaded!

Yeah my father was considering this vehicle after seeing the msrp of only $25k something as an alternative to the civic, but I guess you really have to try both cars to get a feel for it. I just dont know about Nissan's engine as I've heard that they are gas guzzlers. Overall it kind of reminds me of the Hyundai Santa Fe, but I think sante fe is more equipped and still looks better with the projector headlights.

nissan makes great cars and im sure this is no exception! some of them are not the most appealing but i think their fit and finish is surpassing toyota and honda.

the rouge is probably the best in its class right now...only until the vw touran goes on sale!!!

I liked it alot it drove very nicely, very quiet and very well put together and its made in JAPAN! the base model S starts at 19k for AWD S i think is about 21 its a better buy and deal compared to the RAV4 and CRV. The demand is very high for it right now so im going to hold off for a few months than get a great deal on a AWD Rouge SL loaded which is 27,500 MSRP but ill be getting it for 25,700+TTL so about 26 even. Its a great car, huge glove box, removable console tray and a cargo separator in the back cargo area. It gets 21/27 MPG.

I had a nissan murano. The best gas mileage I got was 13mpg - and that is when I babied the car. When I really stuck my foot in it (which was most of the time) my gas mileage went down to around 5mpg.
Oh yeah - and regular maintenance is freakin' expensive...

No it doesn't not at all, its totally and completely different than the vibe. I test drove a Rouge SL AWD with cloth, the cloth was very durable its a mesh type of cloth so it will hold up very well unlike the cloth the civics have. The one with leather i loved alot,it made it feel even more rich and very comfortable. Im at 11,800 miles on my civic and it feels like the cloth seats will get ripped up or torn up anyday now because its mouse fur and fades too damn easily.

my mom used to have a Rav 4. and while i'll admit its nothing id wanna own myself, it was a great vehicle. good power, good mpg, comfortable, reliable, and better looking than most of the other crossover suv's. so in this class i say Toyota FTW

Thanks man! im going to test drive it one more time i saw them again in person yesterday and im totally sold on tha ingigo blue color, especially with black leather! my mom has an 06 Murano and its awesome! after test driving the rouge it know its for me such a smooth driving car, very responsive and has a lot of utility. My dad wants me to keep the Civic so he can use it while i get the rouge. Right now its in high demand so im going to wait atleast 30-90 days to get one so ill be able to get one at invoice cost or what the dealer paid for it. Illusions you need to test drive it! youll love it! especially with the paddle shifters they responded very well!

Congrats! My friend bought an 07 CRV just recently and im not impressed with it or the RAV4 or the outlander, escape, tucson, sportage.Did you check the MPG? Due to the new EPA regulations now the RAVs mileage went down as with the civics aswell. I went to dealer and saw an 08 Civic window sticker said 25-36MPG. Congrats though!

No but i wish i did though! look at the CRV it doesnt even offer a manual shifting automatic,it looks like a mini-van or a volvo station wagon. The outlander is too heavy edmunds said and it has cheap materials. Ddmunds said the CRV's transmission cant make up its mind on when to shift or not it also cant climb hills well is what they said too. I dont like the RAV4 either because it looks too oddly proportioned and kinda looks like a yaris or echo combined. The only reason why the RAV4 took first on that edmunds list is because it has a V6,but the V6 gets terrible gas mileage. The hyundai tucson/kia sportage has cheap and crappy materials, ford escape? yuck cheap and crappy materials. I like the Outlander too but mitsubishis reliability is questionable and i dont really want or need a V6 especially with gas prices the way they are. RWC you should go test drive the rouge you will like it. I did!

Built my own Rogue on NissanUSA. I have to say it comes with alot of options you'd only get on more expencive models!

Although I have to ask why the F did they add Orange Alloy as a color? Its worse than that caddy sunburst orange metallic.
