Sun Shade For '07 Civic
Hello,
I am new to 8thcivic. I recently purchased a 2007 Civic Si coupe and absolutely love it. I will formally introduce myself when I take pics. My question is I want to get a sunshade so my shift knob and steering wheel aren't red hot after work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Brian |

You can't do much to keep the heat out of the knob, that I tried. The thing was scorching in the summer and downright frigid in the winter. I sold the thing for $30 and bought a leather round knob.

If you want a sunshade, go to HandAaccessories.com. It's near the bottom of this page: http://www.handaaccessories.com/civint06.html These sunshades are custom to our car, so they'll fit the massive expanse also known as "our windshields".
As far as getting your shift knob to stay cool -- it's a losing battle. You can keep it COOLER by opening up your sunroof a crack, and letting air circulate. Also, put that sunshade up, get tint, and put a sock or something over it. |
